Mission: Plea was founded in 1964 by group of parents to help individuals with behavioral or developmental problems to function at their fullest potential as effective members of their community through advocacy and family-focused support and educational services.
Programs: Plea provides services to children and adults with autism and/or other developmental disabilities. Most clients are referred through the County system and would not have the wherewithal to obtain services otherwise. Plea offers a therapeutic partial hospital program for children ages 3-5 with autism and/or other developmental disabilities ($800,000). Plea also provides individualized services in home and in community for children with autism and/or other developmental disabilities ($1,000,000). One of Pleas recent accomplishments was incorporating an inclusion component into its partial hospital developmental preschool program.
