Mission: To educate medical providers & the general public about the threats of nuclear war & other weapons of mass destruction, global environmental degradation, the epidemic of gun violence, & other social injustices in our society.
Programs: Environmental health program: decrease the threat to public health from global warming to the proliferation of pollutants in our air, land, & water.
national & global security program: reduce the dangers posed by the development, production, testing, deployment & use of nuclear weapons.
social justice & violence prevention program: education about the important linkages between gun violence & the social environment & to promote policies that lessen income inequality which lead to an improvement in life expectancy & social well-being.
