Programs: Substance abuse prevention and treatment block grant, administered by sustance abuse prevention and treatment agency (sapta), which works to reduce the impact of substance abuse in nevada, which is accomplished through the identification of the alcohol and drug abuse needs of nevadans and by supporting a continuum of services including prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery support. Provides regulatory oversight and funding for community-based public and non-profit organizations. The agency is also responsible for the development and implementation of a state plan for prevention and treatment, coordination of state and federal funding, and development of standards for the certification of prevention & treatment programs.
