FFR has literally changed my entire life in the present moment and has given me a future that wasn't available to me before. They are a community that I belong to and I have never belonged anywhere or with anyone in my whole life. But now thanks to FFR I do. They are a welcoming community of like minded individuals all providing support to one another and changing the world for the better. In addition to these spiritual needs, they provided me the support I needed financially to get out of homelessness and the PRSS training program to provide me with a future.

I came to the Foundation For Recovery in September 2023 , and I have been here everyday since. I took the peer recovery class with Sara in October 2023 , I'm currently working on my GED to start my Internship. The Foundation has allowed me to be apart of a great team as a volunteer, I'm here Monday-Friday helping wherever I'm needed . This is my longest clean time and I'm so grateful to have found the Foundation For Recovery .. I have been apart of a great staff team, and when I need advice they are always willing to help . I feel that my prayers for recovery is happening now ... All due to Tina,Sara, Diane, George, Robert, and Sean ..

This nonprofit organization is outstanding and stands for excellence. I learned about this organization from my VA Rehabiliation Counselor. After retiring several years from the United States Air Force, I wanted to give back to my fellow veterans, so I enrolled in the VA Rehabilitation program to start a new career.
I attended a Peer Support Training class at this organization last March 2023 and the staff were excellence and the Director (Sara Ayoub) who talk the class was knowledgeable, professional, and excellent in her delivery and approach to each student. This is organization that is passionate about its assignment and an organization that believes in serving others. I am thankful that a door was open for me to attend this class with this outstanding Nonprofit organization.

I have struggled with substance use and mental health issues since I was a child and spent many years self-medicating. I grew up in foster care, hung out with drug dealers, and was in and out of jail. I had problems with relationships and jobs, eventually losing my children to foster care.

Eventually, I was introduced to Foundation for Recovery and after working with a peer support specialist and with the support of all the staff, I was able to begin volunteering in the coffee shop, attended group support meetings, and was able to turn my life around. Today I have a solid group of friends who support me, I work and volunteer both at Foundation for Recovery and at my 12 Step groups

I needed a full recovery, which was why I started coming to the Foundation For Recovery, I was able to attend meaningful classes to help continue to build on my education of how to manage my Recovery and make the type of fellowship that one needs, especially here in Las Vegas. The Foundation helps with these amazing classes, member circles are full of resource shares, and topics of quality of life in specific areas. I have been a trained Narcan Ambassador, I enjoy outreaches, working with the Recovery Coaches has been a huge support to me, encouraging many with shared knowledge, lived experiences (where you don't feel stigmatized but encouraged) to find that pattern, that spark, that helping hand. FFR, is just that, Your Foundation !!!

Foundation For Recovery is an amazing place. Three years ago, I walked into Foundation For Recovery ‘s doors seeking help in recovery and housing. I walked through those doors broken lost with little Hope. Foundation For Recovery did not let me leave. Until they insured, I was in a safe and sober stable environment. Foundation For Recovery saved my life helping me find my purpose in life.

I enjoyed my training class for PRSS. Sara & Kari were very helpful. They were very professional. The course took 5 days but it was very easy to understand. Because of the encouragement and support I received I decided to go to the next level and apply for an 500 hour internship at FFR. And I was accepted! My life is headed in a promising direction with expectations of being a certified PRSS

Foundation for Recovery has changed my life for the better. They allow me to come as I am and meet me at my level. I've been working towards my PRSS Nevada credential since June of 2023 and they offer a full spectrum of Recovery resources. Through there connections and events I was able to get funded for 8 months of schooling and also located stable housing from my peer to peer work. They are wonderful and highly recommended in my opinion!

Foundation for Recovery provides trainings and education to families, parents, educators, students, and other community stakeholders. It also helps provide free clearinghouse materials, education and treatment scholarships, and the ability to publish and distribute our one-of-a-kind Southern Nevada Recovery Resource Directory. We also made a considerable impact with other initiatives including:

- The Peer Recovery Coach Academy that has trained over eighty Peer Coaches.

- The opening of a Peer Recovery Support Center the first of its kind in Southern Nevada.

- Helping Young People Experience Recovery (HYPER) a peer-led movement of youth in recovery who provide prevention education in CCSD schools, recovery support, and other services to youth in Southern Nevada.

- The Recovery Rally and walk, celebrating National Recovery Month each September.

- Numerous classes and workshops at our Peer Center for individuals and families, including GED Prep, parenting, and numerous wellness topics.

- Workshops and trainings for addiction professionals, researchers, educators, students, and others to disseminate the latest information on substance abuse research, treatment, and recovery.

We are excited that the Foundation for Recovery has had a significant impact on the lives of so many individuals and their families.
