This is a wonderful organization that has provided several opportunities for our family to go and have some fun! A much needed break from the everyday. Sometimes things are missed because of a lack of finances, here we have a chance to get to do some of those things. It also presents an opportunity to connect with other military families and caregivers. The caregiver aspect has been amazing too! They offer unique and fun things to have a break away for the day with other ladies that get it. Always chatting up other ladies at these and it’s fun to run into the same and also meet new.
Operation ward 57 is an amazing organization that has really been an active entity in my husband and my life since his injury in 2013. It’s always great when they have events that my husband can be a part of that remind him he’s not alone. Being with other injured vets and doing things he may have never dreamed of doing like the rowing regatta in Hawaii, show him his limitations are merely situation and with a little help he can achieve almost anything. This organization goes out of their way to really make everyone feel welcome and wanted and we’ve made some lifelong friends because of them, what more can you ask for?
My fiancé was injured in Afghanistan losing both leg and injuries to his dominant hand. Operation ward 57 provided him with haircuts on the ward when he was unable to leave the hospital. They would even come to the bedside if needed! They gave him luggage so he could visit his boys when they came home from Afghanistan, food when the hospital selection just didn't cut it anymore, 2 1/2 months and only a few selections gets pretty old pretty fast. They donated food processors to the families of wou de warriors so they could keep up good eating habits. They do so much and have wonderful people working for them. Jodi, you rock! ;) I hope they can continue to help families in need and soldiers who deserve all the help they can get. From my family to yours, thank you!
I can’t say enough great things Operation Ward 57 has done for wounded veterans. My club partners with them every year to raise money in an event called Rock and Rally for the Troops in Tacoma WA. It’s a great time planning the motorcycle ride and raising money and awareness so the leaders of the organization can put money in the right hands so people that need help get it. Director Brittany is always great to work with and dedicated ALOT of her personal time to see that this and other events get done right so that even the community feels good knowing their donations are going to a worthy cause and spent correctly. The proof is talking to a vet that received help, so I challenge everyone to talk to a wounded service member and their family that’s received help from OPW57 and hear their story of recovery and success!
I have had the pleasure of supporting this organization for 4 years. I make the amputee teddy bears for the children of our soldiers. I have whitnessed the love this organization brings to not only the soldiers but the caregivers and their families as well. They are always doing something great to support our military families.
I am blessed to be the teacher who with my students have been able to support this organization by creating the amputee teddy bears for some very amazing soldiers and their families. Brittney Hamilton works so hard to help these soldiers and their families. Such a great organization.
I am a veteran my self, and I am very fortunate to have done very well after my service, made it through a tech school and have been able to work and raise a family. I will admit there were struggles, and with out family or that support you would get from the service, it can be overwhelming. I met up with Brittney Hamilton through a boating adventure and got to know and observe her dedication and efforts through operation ward 57 on various volunteer opportunities that she coordinated with me. It was a great experience and feeling to see a friends helping friends atmosphere. It’s the support that keeps on giving to many military veterans and their families that are in need, I had the opportunity to just show up and help a disabled veteran work in his yard through Operatiin Ward 57, attend a Ball at the state capital with my wife to promote Operation Ward 57, Volunteer at Rock and Rally for the troops. This non profit organizatiin goes above and beyond to reach out and find support on a local and national level. Food, clothing, lodgings, holiday and entertainment functions, and most importantly the promotion of mental and physical services to the veterans in their time of need and support. I look forward to continuing to volunteer and support this organization and I hope you will do the same.
Sincerely, Brian A Wright CPL USMC
It all felt hopeless! The home we where renting flooded to the point we had to leave. A family of 5 homeless. I was able to get support for a hotel but we had ran out of options for food. That’s why I applied for help through operation Ward 57. They gave us Funding for food that lasted weeks. They have continued to provide fun safe events for my family attend. I love operation Ward 57. The pics are from the home that flooded and the day Brittany Who’s runs operation Ward 57. Came to drop off the support. Yea she came to us can you believe that! Exceptional.
OP57 has always been such a huge blessing to our large family. We have been involved with their Christmas program while my husband was transitioning out from the Army and this week another huge blessing. As many know NC was hit with hurricane Florence and a lot of RAIN. With that being said OP57 came around and helped us replace our food that we lost from losing power. That’s huge because we have 6 kids at home and that takes a large burden off of us to where we can focus on funds to repair our home. Thank you OP57 your love is recognized in our home!
We are so grateful for Ward 57. We were 1 day from having our power shut off and they came through to help pay our bill and keep our power on. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.
I am so grateful for operation ward 57. They came thru and helped our family tremendously when we experienced unexpected vehicle repairs and came up short for our car payment. Without them we would be in danger of losing our vehicle which is crucial in getting my husband to and from important doctors appointments and treatment for his PTSD. Thank you for being there in our time of need. You'll never know just how much this means to us.
Regarding Operation 57.Org. I am so grateful they were there for us. My son's PTSD and TBI caused a serious problem recently. He overspent and was short on his living expenses. Which left us short for groceries. They responded quickly and seriously saved us from ten days at the end of the month without food. We are so grateful, beyond belief! One huge worry relieved. Thank you so much. The day before we received the help a bag of popcorn was what I hate to stave off an empty belly. Thank you again and again. Kim Fox
They helped us with groceries when we needed it the most. I have been out the service for just over a year and needed to bounce back from unexpected expenses. My AW2 recommended them to me and they delivered. God bless them
I would like to thank Operation ward 57 for allowing me and my wife to attend a Garth Brooks concert in November of 2017 and a Tyler Swift concert this year. We are beyound words thankful for this organization. I normally dont attend events in large crowds for many reasons but when organizations like Operation ward 57 host events. I feel a automatic bound/connection to the people around me even if words go unspoken throughtout the event. It gives me a oppertunity I wouldn't otherwise have to gain a positive outlook on life. It serves as a reminder life is worth living.
I'm in the middle of moving and requested assistance from this organization. I live completely off of disability and don't have a lot to survive off of with that alone, so needless to say that when this organization stepped up to the plate, they hit a home run. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to pull a huge gas card for me that is going to make the move more affordable. I'm truly appreciative of this and will find a way to repay them one day. Thank you again!
I would like to thank operation ward 57 Brittany and her staff as I’m a wounded veteran I give this organization a 5 if I could give more I would
This Christmas was going to be scarce. We had a major car repair and a plumbing leak all happen in a matter of 2 weeks in November, it cleared out our Christmas savings for our family.
Then a fellow COWW shared the OHward57 link. We were choosen to be adopted by a generous donor. My kids will have presents to open Christmas morning. The donor was kind in keeping up via email and is even generous enough to wrap everything for us. I can't say thank you enough.
As a wife of a military man, I'm thankful we personally have never had to use Operation Ward 57, which is a great reason to volunteer and help where I can, and knowing what this group does for our military and their families. Brittney has the biggest heart and does an amazing job keeping this non-profit going strong, and helping others. The events, including Rock & Rally is an amazing and the speakers found for this event touch my heart and make me happy to be able to help out any way possible.
Amazing Orginization! Thank you to OW57 and all who donate, can't even begin to epress the support given. They have helped wounded warrior enjoy family outings, givin caregiver a day out, provided Christmas during very difficult time and many other outstanding things they do for military familys.
Great organization! They made sure my kids had Christmas presents under the tree after my husband was wounded right before Christmas. I could never explain how much that meant to us! Thank you OPW 57!!
Thank you so much for helping my family and me during Hurricane Irma. I am so grateful for this organization and its generous help that it provided me during a very stressful and hectic time. Great people, great leaders and great service. Thank you again.
I'm a personal trainer who has hosted 22 WOD at various gyms in the past few years. Always a great event with outstanding support from OW57.
