Review for Operation Ward 57, Seattle, WA, USA
Ladies and Gentlemen veterans and civilian counterparts, I want to share a story with you that I find gives hope to the thought of the kinder world we use to live in is making a come back. Yesterday I got on my computer down and full of defeat thinking that there was no one out there that would be willing to help my wife and myself fly to Detroit Lakes Minnesota for the Public Access Test to complete my service dogs training and certification process. See I received a service dog from Patriot Assistance Dogs in Detroit Lakes MN, last year for my PTSD. As a part of receiving my service dog Bobbi Ann I had to agree to come back in three to six months for the Public Access Test. Now my wife is my caregiver thru the VA mind you and she and I live on a fixed income to raise our eight year old son, so the thought of us shelling out a $1,000.00 for airline tickets was something we knew we'd eventually have to do because we made the 1352 mile drive from upstate NY to MN once already and it was extremely difficult and draining. But the day came before we were prepared for it to do the Public Access Test, we had been saving little by little but every time we'd get ahead something would come up and we'd have to use the savings. So yesterday I got on the computer at the request of my wife and applied to Operation Ward 57, by this morning I begun email correspondence with the executive director of Operation Ward 57 and they were going to buy two tickets, one for myself and the other for my care and wife. I began to cry I was so happy and relieved that someone else had the kindness in their heart to help me and my wife out. To put all this experience in a few words I would have to say simply amazing. Thank you Operation Ward 57 and God bless you and all you do for our countries Veteran population.
