Causes: Health, Reproductive Health Care, Reproductive Rights
Mission: To improve the health of new mexico families by creating supportive environments in which breastfeeding is the cultural norm. We strive to bridge the gap in breastfeeding disparities and are committed to making sure all families have the support they need to reach their breastfeeding goals.
Programs: The task force is creating a breastfeeding supportive community and is committed to increasing breastfeeding initiation, duration and exclusivity. Through the state sponsored wic peer counseling program, funding from the w. K. Kellogg foundation and the annual conference we are providing breastfeeding support, counseling, education and technical assistance to new mexico families, hospitals and clinics and employers.
