As a Primary Medical Provider, I care with patients who struggle with epilepsy on a monthly basis. ERA is a non-profit organization that offers seizure first aid classes to patients and their families, volunteers for the community, and supports advanced seizure research. The members of the organization are passionate about not only patients, but also their families and the healthcare system. Albuquerque is lucky to have such a helpful and resourceful organization. If you’d like to take one of their Seizure First Aid response training classes or make a donation, visit their website at epilepsyra.org and don’t forget to follow their Instagram for current events, opportunities and classes _a_new_era_

ERA is a great team that's dedicated to helping not only those in Albuquerque but people throughout the state of New Mexico. ERA has helped educate those who don't have knowledge about epilepsy, myself included. They have helped me understand epilepsy and how it affects someone on a daily basis, and I know they've done the same for many others. The ERA team is continuing to work hard to help people which is needed in our community. This non-profit is a hidden gem for our community and I hope more people can become more aware of them and support them as they grow.

ERA is a non-profit organization that has become very personal to my family and myself. Watching someone with epilepsy overcome everyday challenges can be extremely difficult for friends and family. ERA has helped me to understand and become more aware of these challenges faced with this disorder. They have also been a great resource for support and advocate of those with epilepsy. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the epilepsy community.

Working with ERA on a couple of their fundraising projects was a pleasure. I have so much respect for the people at this organization and their mission of advocating for epilepsy research. My grandfather had epilepsy, so this organization and their mission have a special place in my heart. Thank you ERA for all you do.

I’ve worked closely with ERA for about five years now assisting in organizing fundraisers. ERA is probably the most active nonprofit dealing with Epilepsy Research in all of New Mexico.

A small nonprofit group striving to do some good in Epilepsy Research and promoting awareness and enchanting the lives of those affected by Epilepsy.

Through various community outreach programs I was introduced to ERA. They have held many classes and different seminars that have taught me the basic fundamentals of epilepsy and what to do in case of a seizure. The director is very passionate about his non-profit and has truly made it his mission to educate and help those with epilepsy.

ERA has provided me with so much great information about epilepsy. I was connected to epilepsy with my younger cousin and watched him grow up and thrive. In turn, this organization has provided me with opportunities to speak with my students and be aware of varying degrees of epilepsy. This organization has also allowed me to become cognizant that epilepsy does not define an individual but always provides a learning opportunity and points of communication for anyone you meet.

I have been happy to donate to this non profit for several years now. The founder has epilepsy himself and has still chosen to stay positive and help others with resources and fundraising events. More needs to be done to help find ways to bring relief to people fighting Epilepsy and this is what Era is working towards.

This non-profit is a terrific example of putting a great cause before oneself. Epilepsy is an area of human health that needs significant progress in regards to treatment and diagnosis and ERA’s mission to fund research in those areas is much needed. Very proud to know these people and this organization.
