Mission: The charitable foundation was incorporated in november, 1951 with the intention of supporting a cause in need. The native sons became aware of an under funded clinic in san francisco that treated primarily very young children born with a cleft lip/palate. All charitable foundation funds donated to these hospitals go directly to the treatment of the children, with no overhead costs, with the agreement that no child will be refused treatment for any reason.
Programs: The cleft lip/palate birth defect, the second most common birth defect, has such an emotional as well as physical impact on the child, its parents, family and friends, the native sons chose it as its exclusive charity. Since that time it has supported the cranio facial anomalies clinics of saint john's health center, in santa monica, california, the university of california, san francisco, hospital and sutter memorial hospital in sacramento, california
