Programs: - executed two well-attended conferences featuring expert clinical and legislative speakers; one of which provided complimentary continuing education credits to attendees. - strengthened msco's presence by increasing the number of members, retaining 100% of our current members, and establishing a social media presence on twitter (@mn_oncology). - supported the professional development of fellows across mn through co-sponsorship of the mayo clinic oncology review, hosting the msco/mayo fellows career orientation, and special recognition at msco conferences. - supported various oncology organizations, including the; minnesota cancer alliance, gilda's club twin cities, richard m. Shulze family american cancer society hope lodge-minneapolis, cancer legal line, and the angel foundation. - provided funding for asco's young investigator award to help promote excellence in oncology research. - submitted comments to cms on the macra rule, opps and pfs rules, and the icer methodology for value assessments of oncology drugs. - developed robust educational and advocacy support for members participating in the oncology care model (ocm) through the accc oncology care model collaborative, including workshops, calls, and advocating on behalf of the ocm practices with cmmi. - provided members educational opportunities under medicare's new quality payment program (created by macra) through webinars, calls, and meetings. - advocated for msco by sending a letter to the mn speaker of the house for sf1523 regarding oral parity implementation.
