To promote the sport of horsemanship at jamaica bay riding academy in an atmosphere that supports the educational and interscholastic philosophies of the academy , as well as the goals of the interscholastics equestrian association2. To encourage and support the academic achievment of its student -athlete members3. To promote and encourage interdependent athletic activity and team development among the student - athlete members
