Mission: To provide high-quality beginning instruction on string instruments and harp for underserved children in baltimore city elementary and middle schools.
Programs: Twice-weekly instruction on violin, viola, cello, bass and harp to over 100 students in the after-school programs in baltimore city, with additional weekly orchestral opportunities and performance opportunities for the students. The program has also provided new string teachers from local university music education classes a chance to gain valuable experience teaching inner-city students in a group setting.
