Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To provide a new beginning for individuals by inspiring, educating and empowering them to create a positive change within themselves and their community.
Programs: Residential houses - each home supports one to three individuals. The number of occupants will be based on the needs of the individuals. Houses will be set in local residential neighborhoods. In licensed homes, staff will be available 24 hours a day, and thus will be able to meet all of the needs of the individuals. All licensed homes will abide by pa chapter 6400 state regulations. In home support - empowering people to stay in their own home by helping them master skills such as cleaning, cooking, and self-medicating. Companion services - people live by relationships. Our companion services provide support and connection with an often overlooked group. The york/adams mental health - intellectual and developmental disabilities has given an award to life's new beginning as the "intellectual disabilities" provider of the year for 2016.
