Wonderful foster based rescue. They care about every cat they find and are genuinely concerned about adopter being paired with the best possible pet.
my family adopted a wonderful cat from this rescue. We found the people at this rescue to be polite and helpful.
Poor communication with volunteers, left us hanging for weeks. When one volunteer did reach out, she did not introduce herself by name or by Feline Solutions, only communicating via text, and was very argumentative over what email we had used to send over vaccination records for no apparent reason and refused to give their name when requested. We issued a complaint about this with the founder who was very responsive. We then were denied adoption without being notified. I have been told by someone who has fostered for them that they tend to "hoard" cats and volunteers will deny applicants without basis because they themselves want to hold on to the cat.
Our experience started out wonderfully. We were approved almost instantly. (Without checking our references.) However, as time passed it was clear there wasn't any concern or interest in helping us to adopt. After 48 hours I emailed back to ask what was taking so long to hear anything. I was given information to contact the founder. I called and left a voicemail-no response. I texted and got a response almost immediately. I was then given the name and number of the foster family. I am still waiting to hear back from them. After waiting what has been a week, my family decided it was best to move on. Much to our 5 year old son's disappointment, as he earned a pet and was very excited to begin their relationship.
I emailed and texted all the individuals I had been trying to communicate with to explain we have decided to move on. I was given more excuses and no accountability for the organization dropping the ball. I explained that we wouldn't have cared how long it took, as long as there was communication and it was bad business. To which I was told they aren't a business and it was best I was moving on. I responded with my point being that 1. they take money (not enough to efficiently run their organization, but they take money and pay bills) 2. My point was in 1 week nobody could have sent a text, email, or call for 1 update. I was told I am relentless and to no longer communicate with them. All I was trying to convey was our disappointment in how we were handled and I was looking for accountability.
I hope that this doesn't happen to other families and we are in the minority.
