Volunteering for Life Skills has been an extremely rewarding part of my life for the last 40 years. When I served on the board, I felt it was a privilege to work with such a diverse group of men and women who possessed incredible caring and responsibility and dedication to their commitment to making decisions which could change the lives of so many in a positive way. Heading various committees and chairing several events enabled me to not only work with other volunteers but to truly see the Life skills staff in action. They energized and set the bar for the volunteers who chose to give of their time and talent. I feel so fortunate and proud to be involved in an organization made up of so many individuals that are so sincere and focused in implementing the Life Skills' mission of assisting developmentally disabled individuals enrich their lives and reach their goals and potential.
