Mission: The mission of italian renaissance fund is to connect with enthusiasts and specialists alike in order to pave the way forward for the preservation of italian cultural heritage at both a local and global level. The vision of the italian renaissance fund is to ensure that with a continued commitment to cultural preservation, the legacy of one of the world's most outstanding collections of archeological and historical artworks and architecture, together with the breathtaking landscapes of the italian peninsula will endure for generations to come.
Programs: The organization launched it's first ever program in fy2017 with the management of a donation from eataly downtown llc in new york, ny, united states, to the polo museale regionale della lombardia in milan, italy, so that a new air purification system could be installed to preserve da vinci's masterpiece, 'the last supper', as well as to accommodate increased tourist flows. Leveraging 'the last supper' donation as kick-off event, commencing in fy2018, the organization will begin to solicit public donations of all sizes from multiple channels. The italian renaissance fund welcomes targeted donations for specific conservation projects as well as contributions designated towards capital campaigns at organizations that specialize in italian cultural heritage. We welcome proposals for direct interventions as well as for collaborations with organizational partners on a case-by-case project basis. Projects will be selected on the basis of their historical relevance and technical feasibility.
