Mission: To promote awareness of biodegradable products in order to educate the public on environmental issues through the use of a logo which identifies and certifies plastic products that will biodegrade and compost in a satisfactory manner.
Programs: Bpi funded a study conducted by an outside consultant -compost manufacturing alliance (cma)- to evaluate the performance of bpi members' products in cma composting facilities.
