Mission: Our flagship program, the Global Consortium for Immunotherapy, and its public outreach campaign, AMICUS FOR AIDS, aims to support research into an immunotherapeutic approach in the treatment of HIV/AIDS first proposed by Dr. Jonas Salk who developed his theory with Professor Henri Atlan of Hadassah University Hospital.
The consortium was established through collaboration of Human Futures Foundation and the Human Biology Research Center at Hadassah University Hospital, where Phase 2 trials are ongoing under the scientific leadership of the centre''s director, Professor Henri Atlan. The consortium now seeks to extend clinical trials through clinical research teams in South Africa and Brazil.
Programs: Through AMICUS FOR AIDS, this important research as supported by published, peer-reviewed studies, is being taken to critical global Phase II and Phase III trials. In the end, success of teh therapy as applied to HIV, will provide valuable attention to application of the theory to other aouto-immune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, eheumatoid arthritis and diabetes, among others.
