Mission: Family connections exists to develop strong, healthy families and to build thriving communities in the portola and excelsior neighborhoods. Family connections provides opportunities for people of different backgrounds to work together cooperatively, sharing cultures, values, knowledge and resources.
Programs: Family support services: family support services include case management, supervised visits for families, educational workshops, support groups for the community and more. The support services also encompass a child and parent drop-in program, pre-kindergarten readiness programs, and affordable rental units for families. Total number served during the year was 1701.
educational services: educational services include an agency operated licensed preschool, licensed afterschool programming, and eight-week full day summer academic enrichment program for elementary school age children, chinese school on saturdays, and early literacy programs. Total number served was 789.
