Mission: DBSA Madison is a peer run and recovery driven organization. We offer support and education to mental health consumers and their caregivers. This current chapter of the national organization, Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, was reaffiliated by two Madison consumers in the fall of 2006. It was previously incorporated in 2005. We work to reduce the societal stigma associated with depression and bipolar disorders, the most prevalent mental illnesses.
