This organization has been such a blessing for me. I was introduced to them by my RD. The amount of free resources on website alone is incredible and helped me so much. Between all the book recommendations, blog posts & podcasts, it has helped me walk easier in my recovery. I joined one of their free prayer groups & my life was changed. I was able to tie together my recovery journey, my faith, and make connections with people that now walk alongside me daily. From there I joined their online community platform & it just deepened those connections. Having the space to encourage others or just have ones there to support you on a tough day, means so much! Not only has all this been amazing but also I have been met with such compassion & kindness from the leadership. They have lifted me up in prayer & met me in my really hard moments with encouragement and resources I otherwise wouldn't have known of. I will be forever grateful for how much these ladies pour into the people they serve.

My parents started this foundation after the loss of my sister. They work tirelessly to educate everyone about PMDD. I am amazed by the doors that have opened to them and the opportunities they have had to speak with legislators, healthcare providers and law enforcement which allow them to reach so many including marginalized populations affected by this disorder.

CooperRiis was able to start a healing process for me that should have begun much earlier in my life. I had been taught to not make a fuss, to internalize my issues and that I should handle my problems. I learned the hard way that was not accurate. I made attempts at other facilities, but CooperRiis stood out to me. This facility was the first and only place where I felt (and was treated) like a normal human being. For the first time in my life I felt supported, not controlled. There is a large difference between taking someone's pride versus allowing them to submit themselves to needing help. CooperRiis offers that, in a way that no other facility did for me. The therapists and staff were invested in the residents as a people, in our growth and success. Never once did I feel that I was an imposition to this facility. I got my life back, and will be forever grateful to this truly healing community.

I always love volunteering with pause. The staff is super helpful, and I always feel like I'm making a difference there. The work they do is so helpful for the families and truly makes a difference in the kids' lives.

Attending events with Barracks Legend Foundation has truly been life changing for me. I recently participated in the Everglades airboat tour. It was more than just an experience, it was a reminder that I’m not alone. The community this organization creates for veterans is powerful. Being surrounded by people who understand, support, and uplift each other has had a profound impact on my mental health. These events provide connection, purpose, and genuine camaraderie that extends far beyond the day itself. I’m incredibly grateful for the work they do and the safe, supportive space they’ve built for veterans.

Very thoughtful, well organized nonprofit . A pleasure to work with Chad and his team at our Wellesley College event. Our students still talk about how impactful the day was, with many asking to join Active Minds on campus!

I have been going to the RRUFF Dog Park in Rocklin since 2011...My pups love it there. They have made so many new friends; and so have I. We also are so proud of this nonprofit as they have expanded their mission to fund the cost of service dog training for veterans and first responders. Keep up the good work, RRUFF!

Unfortunately, the workplace culture and environment has degraded impressively during the last several years. There is no Medical Director, no Nursing Officer anymore, and leadership often hires new employees on the premise of being related to their faves. I have been with them for 8 years, trying my best to help individuals with special needs, but never felt respectable or appreciated. Finally, management started firing people who tried to report or uncover some instances of financial or other types of abuse. I know myself of at least one person who was reporting staff working under influence repeatedly, but nothing was done by the company CEOs, and the reporter was forced to resign instead. Recently, HR itself got engaged in retaliatory firings. All those tendencies are very suspicious, and I suggest you to think twice about donations, and ask Trinity to explain why they would rather leave the clients without professional medical services at all then listen to the employees' concerns

IPA is amazing! I have always been a bit pee shy, but over the past three years it has really become problematic. I went to the IPA website this past January and conversed with Tim Pyle, IPA's Executive Director. Through Tim, I was connected to, and able to work with, a private therapist via Zoom sessions. I also participated in a few group support meetings, also via Zoom. I am happy to say that I am making real progress in addressing my shy bladder syndrome. If you suffer from paruresis, you owe it to yourself to contact IPA and start getting the help you deserve :)

I’m so proud to support the Faith and Recovery Network. Their mission really speaks to me because they are taking on the hard, necessary work of addressing both addiction and mental health challenges within our communities. What I love most about FRN is the way they bring faith communities into the conversation. So many people struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues first turn to their church and FRN is making sure those faith leaders and communities are equipped with real tools, compassion, and training to respond in ways that actually help. They’re breaking down stigma, building understanding, and offering a sense of hope that goes beyond treatment alone. FRN also focuses on health equity, making sure that care and compassion reach people who are often left out or overlooked. Supporting FRN feels like supporting change that starts at the heart of the community and ripples outward.

She has been so patient and understanding, and has tailored her<br>approach to the client's individual needs. We have seen such remarkable progress in the client's behavior,<br>communication, social skills, etc., and Dr. Spears consistently communicates clearly and effectively,<br>ensuring we are involved in the process. The client genuinely enjoys her sessions, and we feel like a<br>strong, supportive team with Dr. Spears.

Volunteering with The Priceless Journey has been a beautiful, faith-stretching experience that continues to shape me in unexpected ways. While I don’t go into the jail weekly, each time God opens the door for us to enter, I know it’s by His perfect timing and each visit carries eternal weight.<br><br>When I step into that space, I carry with me the powerful truth of the gospel and the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. Sharing that hope with women who are often overlooked or forgotten by society is a sacred privilege. Through God’s Word, we remind them that they are not their past, not their mistakes, and certainly not without worth. We tell them the truth: that they are deeply loved, seen, and chosen by God.<br><br>What surprises me every time is how much I receive during those visits. Watching their hearts soften, seeing tears fall as truth breaks through shame and pain…it humbles me. It grows me. It reminds me that healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum; it often comes through obedience, compassion, and simply showing up when God calls.<br><br>This ministry continually calls me to trust God’s timing and sovereignty. Sometimes, the doors to the jail are closed for a season, and I’ve learned to pray, wait, and prepare. And when they reopen, I go with a heart full of anticipation for what God wants to do, not just in the women we minister to, but in me as well.<br><br>Bringing the gospel into the jail has deepened my understanding of grace, strengthened my dependence on the Holy Spirit, and expanded my view of what it means to be a vessel for God’s love. I may not be able to go often, but each moment inside is holy ground where Jesus shows up, healing begins, and hope is born again.<br>

Twice, I have tried to donate to this organization. Twice, they have not picked up. I live in a senior bldg, so for me to take down multiple bags to the curb, is no mean feat. The first time the driver didn't pick up, I and another person were fined for leaving unwanted items in front of the building. I wanted to make sure this didn't happen again, so when I got a phone call from the organization, I told them the consequences and was assured of pick up. The pick up didn't happen, in fact, I was sitting outside waiting for the driver, watched him slow down, stop as if he were about to step off the truck, and then pull away. I thought I was mistaken, so I waited until 5pmto see if my items would be picked up. They were not. When I called to find out if there was some problem that had occurred, the CSR hung up on me. I would have been fined again, had it not been for a passerby stopping and inquiring about the items although they were clearly marked. I told her she can have them. I don't know what is going on with VVA, but do better. Your reputation is tanking.

Healing Hooves is a great place. We have been going to Healing Hooves for over 2 years now and what a difference I have seen in our kids. They are getting better at pushing through the hard things that come their way. Recognizing emotions for what they are and also working through them. They love attending their sessions and love the horses. They are also learning how to not only ride but also how to treat horses along with hard work. Cassie and Lindsey are great at keeping everyone safe including the horses and still teaching great horsemanship. Their horses are well-trained, calm and great with kids and adults. I can not thank them enough for their time and willingness to help kids learn more about horses and themselves.

I was introduced to the Boot Campaign's mission in 2021 and have grown to deeply appreciate all they do for our Veterans. Getting to know those whose lives have been positively impacted by all the Boot Campaign offers gives me a true sense of gratitude for the commitment this team of professionals has to make a difference for those who gave so so much for our country. This organization is so special to me because they believe each child regardless of their challenges, deserves the opportunity to shine.<br>They are helping kids by discovering their unique talents and endless impossibilities. They are building a world where all children, no matter their abilities, can show their talent and making many crafts. <br>Along with taking care of them they are telling them how there is a hidden talent in each kid. Very happy to volunteer in this organization.

I began volunteering for Riding to the Top over four years ago. As a horse leader, I see the difference that Riding to the Top makes in the lives of children and adult riders. The teachers, staff, and volunteers are a kind,caring and competent group of people and the horses are superstars. I can't say enough good things about this organization!!

My journey with DBS began in 2018. My family and I started attending this meeting because I was very ill. Mentally and emotionally I was lost in a very deep and dark depression. These meetings saved my life. They also helped my family understand my illness by hearing other's experiences and struggles they were dealing with. We knew we were no longer alone in the battle to find my way out of my depression.<br>Once I became well enough, I was able to get certified as a group facilitator. I volunteered at the Clearwater group for the next 6 years. I only left because I moved out of the state.<br>I do and will always recommend these groups to anyone struggling with their mental health and their families. <br>I would give more stars if there was an option to do so.<br>Thank you DBS for everything!

What a wonderful organization that is doing so much in the greater community. I was gifted a scholarship to go through their program a few years ago and am forever grateful for the generosity that this nonprofit provides (not just to me but for so many). I see the impact that they are making in the world of addiction recovery and it is massive. I am forever in gratitude to the kind individuals (shout out Cheryl!) that have made sure they are living their mission every single day.

This is a wonderful group of caring people working hard to save dogs from euthanasia by training and pairing with veterans suffering from PTSD. "A dog is a man's best friend." And a woman's, too!

I've had the honor of volunteering with NEABPD events since I was a grad student, and I am so grateful for all the work that's been done, is happening now, and will be done in the future for all of us in this world! NEABPD offers tremendous resources for all of us loving people with BPD and emotion dysregulation, and uniquely offers education, skills and support -- it is an incredible gift period, not to mention that NEABPD programs are offered free of charge!! Whenever I talk to people about BPD (which tends to be daily, given my career as a psychologist and my passionate commitment to our vision at NEABPD: building a world where emotional wisdom prevails!), I share NEABPD as the first and foremost resource.
