Mission: Chinese for affirmative action (caa) is a community-based civil rights organization that conducts community services, policy advocacy, and movement building activities.
Programs: Caa's local programming nurtures the ability of immigrants to participate fully in civic life. These activities include leadership development for monolingual public school parents, employment services for limited-english proficient newcomers, outreach for immigrant legal services, and community and voter education underscoring issues that impact caa's constituency. In addition, caa leads advocacy to improve public policy and to inform public discourse through ethnic and mainstream media, and organizes to engage elected and government officials.

Aacre works with eight additional groups: the alliance of south asians taking action, apex express, api equality - northern ca, asian prisoner support committee, hmong innovating politics, hyphen magazine, the network on religion and justice, and the visibility project. These groups share administrative and movement building resources with caa while exploring and deepening the connections that our collective members, volunteers, and staff have with one another.
