Mission: To enhance the abilities and support the independence of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities throughout their lives. This is done by providing the highest quality of services to individuals with disabilities and their families, by educating the community about physical disabilites, by informing the public about the abilities and rights of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, by promoting self-determination and by enhancing the developmental growth of children and independence of adults with disabilities in the community.
Programs: Early intervention program provides comprehensive services to children and families who are developmentaly delayed and/or disabled in the homes and the community. These services include: family training, special instruction, specialized playgroups, feeding services, physical, occupational and speech therapy, social work, psychological and nursing services. Our program is highly successful with 99% of the families reporting that their child's developmental success was due to our services.
adult services program provides services to people with disabilities so they can remain as independent as possible. The services can include: home health attendants, home modifications, durable medical equipment, transportation, therapy and personal emergency response systems. Nursing home transition services are provided for individuals with disabilities who wish to move from a nursing home back to the community. Our success rates for independent living are high: 97% of our adult consumers live independently in their own communities and avert nursing home placement.
