Mission: The central illinois center for the blind and visually impaired
Programs: Support to the blind and visually impaired, which included 1334 meals prepared and served to patrons. In addition, a food pantry is available to the patrons, many whose income is below the poverty level. 1344 transports were provided using the center's vehicles. 925 patron participation in field trips. Patrons are assisted in obtaining independent living aids. A monthly newsletter is published in braille, large print, and digital media. The newsletter is distributed to patrons and friends to communicate vital support services, events, and news of interest to the blind and visually impaired. The technology center houses computers adapted for and devices available for use by the blind and visually impaired.
