dental hiv services:the hiv dental services program is designed to provide treatment and services to those infected and affected by the hiv disease regardless of the ability to pay. The dental program provides services such as, but not limited to cleanings, dental evaluations and exams, extractions, dentures, oral cancer screenings, x-rays, and several other services that fit to meet the needs of the patients. These services remove barriers to success in the overall plan of care for an hiv positive individual. Education is reinforced at each dental visit as well as at periodic case management and medical visits. Dental problems that are left unaddressed in an hiv positive individual may lead to a host of other medical issues. 202 clients were provided dental services.
pharmacy assistance program:can provides a 340b pharmacy program. The program enables can patients affordable medication who are ineligible for medicaid but have a need for low-cost healthcare. Under the 340b program, drug manufacturers taking part in the medicaid drug rebate program are obligated to provide a discount on drugs for patients who receive medical services from approved safety net healthcare providers, such as can.
