Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Education, Higher Education, Homeless & Housing, Military & Veterans Organizations, Scholarships, Scholarships & Student Financial Aid, Veterans

Mission: The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund was founded, October 23, 2003 to help support surviving U.S. Military children who have lost a parent in the Afghanistan or Iraq wars by providing them with College Grants. Our College Grant Program has been expanded to include both U.S. Military children and spouses who have either lost a loved one as a result of the Afghanistan or Iraq wars or have a severely disabled parent or spouse who was injured during a deployment to either war. Our second objective is to help the surviving members of these families with financial assistance. Our goal is to award applicants of U.S. Military families that have children under the age of 18, and who are in need of assistance with housing, repairs, utilities, medical expenses, groceries, clothing, school supplies and other expenses deemed necessary in order to provide them with some support and helpalleviate their need.

Results: We have provided assistance to more than 700 children within our military community and hundreds of severely disabled/wounded veterans with our college, financial, morale, health and well-being programs. Our programs are possible only through the gracious giving of others, along with their help we have provided over 3,805,000.00 to our wonderful military families.

Programs: Awarded educational scholarships and financial assistance grants to surviving family members of fallen soldiers of the gulf, iraq, and afghanistan wars and administered these grant programs as well to severely disabled veterans who served in either of the wars listed above. Helped the surviving dependents of these families with financial assistance during their time of hardship. Their goal is to help these children (18 yrs of age or younger) whom are in need of housing, home repairs, utilities, medical expenses, groceries, clothing, school and sports team equipment and supplies. Also, other expenses deemed necessary during their time of need.

CFSRF is rare and wonderful non-profit. This organization gives to so many military families in all areas. They have saved many from losing their homes and utilities etc. They help financially with college as well. I am very proud to support this fund.

CFSRF is a wonderful organization of caring individuals that will help in anyway possible to assist your son or daughter to gain a scholarship. Monica was very helpful with my son during the entire process. We cannot say enough great things about this terrific organization.

CFSRF is a wonderful organization of caring individuals that want to do everything in their power to help meet the needs of military families who have lost a service member or are otherwise affected by combat disabilities. In our case, their assistance has been through a gracious scholarship offering to allow my daughter to pursue a future to brighten the lives of others and hopefully someday help future heroes get back on their feet through Physical Therapy. But please read the other postings as CFSRF clearly supports our veteran families through many other hardships that could have directed their lives down a completely different path if it weren't for their help. Monica has been a pleasure to work with, and portrays the heart of the organization who genuinely cares about those they support. If you are able, please help to support CFSRF financially so they are able to continue stepping in to make a difference at these critical times in the lives of families who have already given of themselves for their country.

After losing 50+ Marines in the battle of Fallujah, iraq many of us felt lost and confused about how to deal with PTSD without our brothers to help us cope. We left the Marines and returned to our home towns spread out across the country. It felt like our family had been broken up from a bad divorce or something. A few of the men put together a reunion, but without funding it wasn't going to be much, and few could afford to go. CFSRF stepped up and provided the funding and organization to make our reunion unforgettable! They even flew many of the disabled Marines to the event (myself included). Miss Becky became our adopted battalion mom and gave all of us hope, pride, and esprit de corps that so many of us needed. She has helped us reestablish our bonds and heal the invisible wounds of war. We are grateful and forever in her debt! Semper Fi Becky

Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund provided airfare for me to attend the 9th annual 1/3 Fallujah Veterans Reunion in St. Petersburg Florida. I hadn't seen any of my veteran brothers in those nine years and it was very therapeutic to reunite with them. If it weren't for this organization I wouldn't have been able to go. Thanks so much for caring about us!
