Mission: The broadway dreams foundation's mission is to provide youth and young adults of all socioeconomic backgrounds with performance training, life skills building, and mentorship opportunities from the entertainment industry's most distinguished talents. Broadway dreams seeks to empower aspiring young artists through performing arts training, with a focus on the acting, voice, and dance disciplines. Program intensives are offered nationally and internationally throughout the year and are led by an exceptional faculty comprised of respected entertainment professionals.
Programs: Week-long intensive training programs are held in several cities across the united states each summer to help talented students interested in pursuing a career in musical theater. These summer intensives provide mentoring from accomplished actors, coaching to improve individual performance, resume reviews and techniques for succeeding with auditions. A concert is performed at the end of each summer intensive in front of an audience that includes theater representatives and casting directors who seek new talent. In 2016 the summer intensives were attended by 795 students.
the triple threat program is a two day intensive training camp that focuses on the three major components of musical theater performance: acting, vocal performance and theater dance. Students enrolled in the triple threat program participate in classes with active broadway professionals to learn how to improve their performance skills and opportunities. The master class program is a one day intensive training camp that focuses on the three major components of musical theater performance: acting, vocal performance and theatre dance. Students also participate in classes with active broadway professionals to learn how to improve their performance skills and opportunities. The master class is a truncated version of the tte. In 2016 the programs were attended by over 130 students.
BDF is a superb training program for students who seek careers in musical theatre. The summer intensive programs have seasoned Broadway professionals teaching the students and providing constructive, positive feedback. The concluding performance showcases how talented the students are. The program also instills self-confidence because the teaching is affirming and demonstrably helps students improve.
