This is a very troubling organization. It is suspiciously unclear how they relate to the Center for Architecture and Design in San Francisco. It appears that one, a 501c3 might simply provide financial support to the AIA, a 501c6 membership organization. But this is unclear and not explained by either organization. It also appears that both organizations share the same staff, thus yielding it's nonprofit status when it's fiscally advantageous. In any case, this organization's practices seem quite out line with current best practices in nonprofit management. I would encourage those interested in supporting their work to refrain and for entities such as the IRS to take a peek.
