I'm still pinching myself that I had the good fortune to discover this place. Actually, it's more like Life of Learning Foundation discovered me! Life of Learning is completely unlike any other school I've ever attended. From my first onsite visit there 8 years ago--when it felt like the top of my head was going to blow off--to the most recent free talk available, I am grateful that a place like Life of Learning Foundation exists in this world today. If anyone reading this is tired of repeating less-than-optimal behavior patterns and wants to experience real Transformation--I cannot urge you strongly enough to make the effort to visit Life of Learning Foundation. And until such time, don't miss a single opportunity to be exposed to what is being offered through this Foundation. I am beginning to see that there is no end to the self-discoveries and subsequent self-transformation possible when working with the teachings emanating from the Life of Learning Foundation.

This is a joy to tell you my growth through the help of the learning foundation. How to live closer to God and be a good person with Guy Fnley's teachings. I have understood to look and sit in silence and wait before I continue with my response. Which would be calm or just nothing. Let it go. Just sit and watch. I have found this to be very fulfilling to me. I see before I speak. I would encourage anyone who wants to make their life closer to God to learn from Guy Finley. As a young boy I remember reading a story about Chief Joseph of the Nez perce tribe. Upon his arrival home from war, he said I am on the path of the True Human being. I fight no more forever. This statement left me with an impression that I never forgot. With my own experience of family and the pain and sorrow that came with it My search for peace began. My search led me through the all the religions and spiritual marketplace but with dissatisfaction. Until a friend gave me a cd of a talk by Guy Finley in which I listened a half dozen times .This impression left me wanting more. I soon discovered that Guy Finley and his Life of Learning Foundation was only a hop and a skip away from me in Southern Oregon. I have been studying with Guy Finley for over 10 years now. He leads the way with his own discoveries and insights. He has given me the tools to study my own life. I am so grateful for Guy Finley and the people there at his Life of Learning Foundation. I have found the path of the True human being, its WITHIN.

Not through blind belief in a man or in his message - which Guy himself would never abide from anyone drawn to his work - but through hard experience and diligent testing, I continue to find that this unflinching participation in reality that Guy shows us is possible (and indeed necessary) is, at one and the same time, the one true answer to all questions, the one complete action in every situation, and the one whole way back to life from the death we’ve imagined and conditioned ourselves into. There are no words or deeds powerful enough to convey or to ever repay the debt of gratitude I owe to Guy for introducing me to this unfailing, unwavering Truth that can be known and communed with in times of the most lovely inspiration, times of the most dire desperation, and all the times (and conditions) in between. I've lived here in Grant's pass for now 27 years.the life of learning was my pray. The foundation is a friendly place to learn to find your true inner self. Guys amazing lessons and great stories are for all ages . He inspires us to work and learn things ourselves. I'm so very grateful to have found this foundation.

I had spent several years as a seeker, exploring teachings from around the world, in search of wisdom that could help me understand my place in life. While it all made for interesting reading, nothing “hit the spot” until I discovered Guy Finley’s writings. There is no other contemporary author/speaker that I am aware of that presents such deep, yet self-evident principles with such simplicity, clarity and authority that can only be realized by personal experience. Speaking of which, he is one of those rare authors that insists one does not simply believe his writing, but that one takes it into their day to verify for oneself if what he claims is True. He also holds free online classes multiple times a week. With such a prolific director, this Foundation is a much needed source of sanity in a world going increasingly off the rails.

I first fell in love with the work we do here at the life of learning foundation because it showed me that there IS an answer to the problem we call fear. The answer is available to anyone who will explore, discover, and remember that there is no problem, past or to come, that spiritual work cannot make right.

About ten years ago, I had almost no understanding of what real truth could do for me. I only dimly suspected that fear was unconsciously holding me back from living and doing what I truly wanted. I had found many worldly answers and pop-psychology teachings that could only became costly dependencies. I needed timeless inner spiritual allies that could not betray me like a fair-weather friends.

Even our smallest desire for new understanding and alignment to spiritual laws can allow us a greater harmony with life today. I have witnessed that that there is even cure for the part of us that doesn’t want to change. It’s quite a miracle that such teachings still exist, if you ask me.

At the Life of Learning Foundation, we are learning firsthand that we cannot avoid life’s lessons, so we might as well be vibrantly alive in pursuit of the great goodness in them. We have everything we need to get started. While it isn’t easy, it is always worth it.

It is actually a great bargain for the student to start now, and consciously discover and then let go of who they are, for the sake of the true life and self we may uncover. We can do it right now.

I’ve reaped the benefit of Life of Learning Foundation headed up by Guy Finley for years now. Full of integrity from top to bottom, incredibly generous in sharing material, an opportunity to visit, take part in talks, ask questions and meet others from the foundation. The sincerity of Guy touches you whether you’re close by enough to visit regularly or live on the other side of the world like I do. It may seem like an over simplification but the one word that comes to mind about GF talks and books is “LUCIDITY” (a foreign concept to most).

The precious gift of lucidity…, to be able to see, feel, know and understand oneself is what I continue to receive when participating at the Life of Learning Foundation.

It is the gift that makes life worth living for you and mercifully, for those around you.

Guys has a unique way of describing the plight of the human condition (and we are all alike ) and guiding us into then thru to emotional and spiritual freedom, with laser precision.

(Personally, being a “word guy”)... I love the way Guy finds a word or crafts a sentence that allows you to slam on the brakes of your thinking.

His words then create a “container” that your exact experience/suffering fits into, allowing you to see and feel what has left you mystified and dumbfounded, in other words, that which makes you suffer, endlessly.

Now contained, you acquire the satisifying sense of finally knowing and responding to your own internal tumult with a confidence that serves your highest good-from an intellect that you finally know as your own, and not your arch enemy. And for that you will be most grateful.

And even more importantly, you are able to serve the highest good of those you love!

And Love will capture your heart like you never thought possible. What it means to live unselfishly will be a gift given to you.
You will do things that stun you (and they are usually the most simplest of things) and you will know it isn’t in the least about you. And for THAT you will be most grateful.

Lastly, Guys poetry is friggen the best! Find that out for yourself in his book “Apprentice of the Heart” - (or any book really)!

I have studied at the Life of Learning Foundation for over three years now. What I have learned has changed how I view the world and changed my life for the better! These teachings have shown me the mechanics of how to transcend negative states that myself and so many others fall into in everyday life.

I wasn't aware of this when I planned my three month US visit (from Australia), but I was caught in a web of fanciful ideas, and the Life of Learning Foundation wasn't among them. The work of author, Guy Finley, was barely known to me, nor was I drawn to learning about it. I knew what I wanted for my trip... so I thought.

If a trusted friend had not pushed me to at least visit the foundation while I'm in the US I wouldn't have bothered. So, I dragged myself to Merlin, Oregon.

Initially unsure of why I'd ended up at the Life of Learning Foundation, the authentically pleasant atmosphere created by the volunteers, and generated from the principles that Guy shares, started to tell me.

I have been a student at this foundation since 2017. I find the truths that are imparted in these classes allow me to have a certain freedom in my life that is something that I have been searching for, for many years. The people at this foundation are very welcoming and very dedicated to the work and in service to it as well.

Words cannot express my gratitude for the Life of Learning Foundation, and the tireless efforts of its Director, Guy Finley. Guy Finley and his Life of Learning Foundation is a source of real and true help. His insight into human nature answers all questions, from the big ones like “Why am I here?” Or “What is my purpose?” To the seemingly small ones like “Why do I rush?” Or “Why do I always worry?”

i have been married to this man for over 40 years, and hearing him speak 3 times a week and never having been bored once. How many wives can say that! Why, because every talk is alive with God inspired insight and given with the passion of the spirit moving through him. Not many people can hear Guy and not feel the atmosphere in the room change, nor forget what they have heard.

As many people do, I had struggled with who I was and why I am here for many years having experienced some very difficult life moments, and when I read the works of Guy Finley, I felt something internally that was extraordinary. Among so many other things, his work was able to help me see that pain is just something we don’t understand about ourselves and that difficult times can really assist us. I’ve now been studying the true principles that are presented at the Life of Learning Foundation for 30 years and have also volunteered assisting with transcription of talks, selling books and helping with the ongoing regular events. There was a quote written by someone about one of Guy’s books entitled “The Secret of Letting Go” which has become an international bestseller where the individual explains that he's read many, many so-called life-changing books and that this was the first time he had found it to be true. I always felt drawn to the foundation and finally moved to where I could have the direct experience of this center for spiritual-discovery and to assist the Foundation with their mission which they work tirelessly to fulfill by helping sincere spiritual seekers “realize a conscious relationship with the Divine”. In my experience, the Life of Learning fulfills that mission that includes being “a welcome harbor for anyone wishing to let go of harmful negative states such as stress, fear and resentment in favor of a life filled with more love, compassion, and excellence.”

People’s lives are truly changed for the better through Guy’s extraordinary dedication to that mission and I’m so grateful to be a part of this. It truly has helped in my quest for an understanding of life and why I’m here.

Years ago I heard Guy Finley speak here in California. The truth that he spoke that day resonated in my soul and felt like home! I left with three of his books: The Secrets of Lost Prayer, The Secrets of Letting Go and The Intimate Enemy. They were life-changing, and strengthening for my spiritual journey.

In time I learned him and his wife, Patricia, founded the Life of Learning Foundation there in Merlin, Oregon, offering not only a Non-profit Center for Spiritual Discoveries for people to visit, but also an Online Wisdom School to make the teachings available to people out in the world. My husband and I have been beyond grateful to be able to ‘attend’ the weekly talks that are offered ‘Live’ and online . . . as well as hearing students from around the world, joining in on our weekly ‘Online Study Groups’ where we share our discoveries together.

Having become members of the Online Wisdom School, and living here in Southern California, we felt the commitment to help get the word out regarding these valuable teachings, and have sought to support and volunteer in any way we can ever since. Why? This world is hurting, and in need of such a LIGHT that is offered here. On the road less traveled, I have made several very painful wrong turns. It has taken almost 30 years, but I have finally come upon a True Spiritual Teacher, Guy Finley. I moved to Merlin, Oregon in August of 2012 to be part of the Life of Learning Foundation. It was the best decision for my life to come here to become a student and volunteer for this non-profit. The director and speaker, Guy Finley, is a beaming example of what it means to be a living example of what you teach and share.
