Without him ever knowing it to be so, Guy Finley - through his books, talks to students, Q&A’s, and Life of Learning Foundation - has walked closely beside me as a cherished friend and a true guide for the past twenty years of my life, opening doors and exposing previously unseen (pathless) paths to new discoveries about my self, this world, and the higher life that is available to us all. With his genuine, kind, humble, loving, tireless, and wise message and presence - made accessible to people near and far through the hard work, dedication, passion, and talent of the volunteers at the Life of Learning Foundation - Guy reminds and implores us to go deeper, look closer, and step further into the unadulterated truth of who we are in each and every moment. Not through blind belief in a man or in his message - which Guy himself would never abide from anyone drawn to his work - but through hard experience and diligent testing, I continue to find that this unflinching participation in reality that Guy shows us is possible (and indeed necessary) is, at one and the same time, the one true answer to all questions, the one complete action in every situation, and the one whole way back to life from the death we’ve imagined and conditioned ourselves into. There are no words or deeds powerful enough to convey or to ever repay the debt of gratitude I owe to Guy for introducing me to this unfailing, unwavering Truth that can be known and communed with in times of the most lovely inspiration, times of the most dire desperation, and all the times (and conditions) in between. Guy’s teachings, the students and volunteers, the website chock full of free content that offers a lifetime’s worth of exploration and study, the Online Wisdom School, and so much more serve to make the Life of Learning Foundation a truly unique, life-changing, life-saving light in this world.
