What better way to care for police handlers and their well loved dogs! As an animal lover and someone who supports my local law enforcement, this is the perfect charity. They provide the training the handlers desire as well as the supplies or medical attention the dogs need. I love the stories they share on social media to know what departments and K9 they are supporting so I always know how my dontation is being used.

Why do I love Irondog K9 International? Because I love dogs and their handlers, of course! This nonprofit provides amazing opportunities to K9 teams, and I couldn’t be more proud to show my love and support for this organization. Seeing their passion and outreach firsthand has given me a new perspective on what it means to give back. Irondog K9 International has allowed me and my daughter to meet many K9 teams and hear about the impact this organization has had on improving training, safety, and overall awareness of the needs of K9 teams nationwide. I tip my hat to the professionals who keep my family safe and nonprofits like this who give selflessly to better the lives of others. Irondog K9 International truly strives to equip, protect, and train law enforcement K9 teams. They have our hearts and our support furever!

I do not wear the trademarks of businesses or charities I do not support. I also hang about with like-minded folks. In the sport of competitive steel target shooting, I have the good fortune to be surrounded by many families and colleagues who support the police and military. Over and over, I have received the same response: nobody knew that most K9 units are run on donations. Incredibly grateful to this amazing organization for sponsoring Bolt, our HRD-dog. Bolt’s primary role is to serve the King County Sheriff’s Office in forensic evidence detection, as well as respond to FEMA-directed disasters through NDSD and Northwest HRD.

We adopted Bolt, a purebred Belgian Malinois, in 2022. These dogs need a job! We very much appreciate Irondog K9’s recognition of the importance of keeping Bolt safe, both during training-related travel and deployment.

When you own a working dog know that it's more than a "tool" for your job. They become your partner, your shadow and your life!
October 2022 K9 Magnus Ares was diagnosed with two herniated discs (C6,C7) which caused his mobility to decrease dramatically to the point he could barely walk or lift his head. This halted all activities and work for him as well as myself. Magnus is certified narcotics detection, tracking /trailing, FLTF-6 canine search specialist for live human scent detection and K9 Medic Demo dog used to show how to properly care for injured K9's on scene.
Financially, his surgery was very costly but was needed in order for him to maintain a life.
When Iron Dog K9 International discovered his situation they did not hesitate to offer assistance and fund his extensive surgery.
They not only supported us financially but also were there every step of the way emotionally for me. They handled everything including speaking to the neurologist pre and post surgery and to checking in everyday on Magnus's status.
Without Iron Dog K9 International my partner would not be back to work, doing what he knows best... searching for odor.

In July of 2023, the Beaufort Police Department initiated a K9 program. With the help of IronDog K9 International, we have the necessary training and safety equipment (bite suit, sleeves, muzzles, harnesses, e-collars, etc.) to effectively continue training our K9s to provide the best service to our community. Without their backing, we would not have the necessary equipment to effectively train and maintain the unit.

Additionally, in April 2024 we received sponsorship for a K9 Medic class and a first aid kit from IronDog K9 International. This training provided invaluable knowledge to our handlers, ensuring the safety and well-being of our K9 partners in the field.

I can't say enough about Irondog K9 International and the fantastic work they are doing. K9 Cezar, a 2 year old chocolate lab/German shorthair pointer, explosive and gun sniffing machine, became my best friend instantly. He is a mischievous, energetic dog that still thinks he is a puppy; until it is time to work and its all business. Cezar's duty assignment is unique in the fact that I am an SRO for our local school district. Cezar's work day is spent roaming the halls of 9 buildings K-12. He is always working to keep the kids safe and putting smiles on the kids faces with his puppy like antics.
None of this would have ever been possible without Irondog K9 International. Their service and continued support have been unbelievable. Not only did that donate a K9 completely, but they provided my unit with K9 first aid kits, a welcome goodie bag and have truly became part of our family.

Irondog K9 International is paws-down the top organization for K9 teams around the world. Wildwood Police Department's K9 Unit is funded strictly off of donations and fundraising attempts by members of the unit. The K9 Unit does not receive funding from the city's budget, which can make daily training operations and equipment, hard to come by.

In May of 2022, our K9 Unit was fortunate enough to obtain 2 new K9's which were to be training in explosive detection. Both of these dogs successfully completed the K9 Academy, where they were trained in 31 explosive odors. Due to our lack of manpower, lack of funding and minimal inservice training dates, I reached out to Mitzi Nash, of Irondog K9 International, for help.

Mitzi was quick to offer my K9 Unit help, in the form of a K9 Explosive Detection Training Kit, from Tripwires South. This kit was a dream come true for those of us that strive to provided the highest quality trained K9's to protect and serve our community and hundreds of thousands of visitors that our city sees on a yearly basis.

I am so grateful for Irondog K9 Inc’s generosity and for the support they provide for Police K9’s. I am an explosives detection K9 handler for the Niagara County Sheriff’s in Western NY. We have a large region to cover with very few bomb dog teams including partnering agencies. As a whole we were in need of a new K9 explosives detection training kit in order to help us better prepare for our mission of public safety. When I heard about Irondog K9 I reached out to them immediately. They were very quick to respond and the back and forth communication was fantastic. They went above and beyond to buy us a brand new explosives kit. These kits are not cheap, ranging between $3,600-$4,000. K9 Bear - JBPD

I am a K9 handler in North Florida and I work a tracking dog named Patriot. Patriot's main job is to find missing endangered children, adults with dementia, and other missing endangered people. Patriot and I have been working together for only a month now and he has already tracked and located a missing child. There are many dangers that we face when tracking from heat related injuries to snakes or dangerous terrain. IronDog provided Patriot and I with a medical kit that makes me feel much more confident that if a medical emergency occurred that I will be able to properly treat Patriot. These medical kits are costly and it would be difficult for me to purchase one without the help from IronDog. Patriot and I are very thankful to IronDog and all of its doners, with y'alls support Patriot and I will be able to confidently track on many missions knowing we have a medical kit in case of emergency.

Irondog K9 international provided a training held in council bluffs Iowa that was instructed by K9 medic that provided life saving training to handlers from all over the country. Irondog K9 international also bought medic kits for the handlers that attended the class so that we have them with us at all times not only for the handlers but medical supplies for their K9s. What a wonderful organization! They reached out to us and graciously covered the veterinarian bills we incurred when two of our K9’s were shot recently in a situation with an armed felon.

In addition to this, they came to our department and gave every handler in the agency their K9 Medic Handler/First Responder course! If this wasn’t enough of a blessing for our handlers and department, they also provided EVERY handler in our agency a full K9 Medic and Handler First Aid Kit!

While conducting a building search K9 Rudy slipped and fell from the roof. His injury required emergency surgery and we transported him to Iowa State University Veterinary Hospital for treatment. The next day we were contacted by Irondog K9 International and they offered to pay for the surgery. This was great news. It helped out our department a great deal. K9 Rudy is expected to make a full recovery and will be back protecting our citizens in not time.

Being a K9 handler and the CEO of a brand new non-profit that helps both current and retired public safety certified K9’s, we started off our organization with a huge event back in February, to help the Glendale,AZ K9 unit with a new training facility. Not really sure what to do or where to turn, Irondog K9 International jumped right in to help us. Not only did they provide an amazing donation towards Glendale’s new facility, but they helped by posting about our event on social media, flew some of their members out to AZ to help AT the event, and have continued to guide us as we grow into a bigger organization.

We couldn’t have had the turn out we did for our first event or some of the knowledge we have now, without Irondog K9 International and all their wonderful people.

The goal for the K-9 unit at the Glendale Police Department in 2021 is to raise funds to outfit our new canine training and exercise area. One of the first organizations to step up and help to accomplish our goal was Irondog K9 International. My experience with Irondog K9 International has been one of the most impressive, important, emotional, and joyful experiences. Because of Charlie Nash, and his colleagues, I, a 20 year combat veteran, and former private security contractor, was able to be reunited with my CWD EDD Explosives Detection K9 6349, Fico after almost three years of no contact. Fico saved many lives overseas during our tenure in the contract world, to include mine. It isn’t easy waking up everyday thinking “is today the day?” However, having a K9 partner always made it a more comforting work day. I trusted my K9 and his work, therefore my fear became trust. On January 23, 2021 with the help of IronDog K9 International’s Charlie Nash, and Brett Michael’s, yes Brett Micheal’s, I was able to reunite with Fico.

Irondog K9 is an amazing supporter of law enforcement K9 teams. Mitzi and Charlie reached out to SALEF in Tucson, AZ this summer when they noticed we were fundraising on social media for the Tucson Police Departments K9 Unit to get them 7 new K9 vehicle heat sensors/alarm units. Irondog K9 flew out to Tucson and presented SALEF with a generous donation which helped make it possible for SALEF to purchase the needed alarm equipment for the Tucson Police Department K9 Unit.
Again in October Irondog K9 made another donation to SALEF to help us with our fundraising efforts on behalf of the Tucson Police K9 Unit.
Irondog K9 is deeply committed to supporting law enforcement and the K9's.
It means so much to know they are networking around the country and advocating on behalf of the law enforcement K9 teams.

Irondog K9 International contacted my law enforcement agency after reading a social media post about one of our Sheriff K9s that had been stabbed during a domestic disturbance. True to who they are, after learning all the details, they asked if they could support our K-9 unit by offering to cover the vet bill in full. Back and forth, over long distance communication, the details were finalized, and all expenses were covered by the non-profit. What’s more, they actually jumped on a plane (during this Covid Culture, I might add) and flew from their home base in Georgia to Northern California to meet our K9. We couldn’t have had a better experience with them during the difficult time dealing with an injured team member. With Irondog K9 International’s help, our furry, four-legged deputy is now back on the streets protecting his community.

Charlie and Mitzi Nash have a deep passion for K9 Officers. They built their business around the love Charlie has from working military dogs around the world, which gives them a deeply rooted understanding of how so many K9 Units across the nation are underfunded by their cities, counties, or states, and departments. That passion and understanding is what drove them to create Irondog K9 International, and they work tirelessly to seek out financial donations in hopes to meet the needs of more and more injured k9s from all over the nation. Charlie and Mitzi truly put a personal touch into their service, and my agency is forever grateful.

In 2018 my Police Service Dog (PSD), Chance, was shot during the apprehension of a person who was wanted for several felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer.

I am located in California and was amazed that within what felt like hours, an organization on the east coast was offering to help. Irondog K9 International, immediately covered all of Chance’s medical bills and has continued to financially assist the Anderson Police K-9 unit.

Most police K9 programs operate solely by donations. An injury to one of the canines can cripple a unit.

Organizations like Irondog are worth more than words can say during unexpected times of need. I will be forever grateful for their love, passion, and support.
