Open Med Foundation has support for me, as a patient with ME/CFS, and resources for those near to me, as well. They keep me up to date on research and give me hope that some day things may be better. I point people to their site often for more info on ME/CFS and Long Covid… those people include my own doctors!!

I adopted Scottie in Feb 2024. I was connected with Meow Haven Kitty Rescue when I reached out to The Dancing Cat; I am disabled with chronic illness, and was looking for a lower energy cat that would get along with my dog and cat. They didn’t have a good match for me, but had a feeling that MHKR would! Akari introduced me to multiple foster cats but anticipated that Scottie was the best match for me. We chatted for quite a long time while she answered all my questions and gave me time to feel comfortable and confident before taking Scottie home. Scottie is the best match for us! 2.5 months later and she has warmed up so much in our home, plays daily with our other cat and sleeps on our bed! I’m so thankful to MHKR!
