I am always amazed at the range and frequency of the emails of environmental issues Friends of Earth takes on. They are all so important so if you can take a little time each day and give feed back on them and to donate generously this will aid the fight to save wildlife, your health, the air we breathe the water, and land. I give monthly but you can give using a donor advised fund or each time. You will feel good about what you do. This is one of the major ways I use my money. Please share with friends

Always a worthy cause, Friends of the Earth keeps donors informed and invested. I can control the amount of emails that I receive. Emails are to-the-point and focused on the immediate needs of this honorable non-profit. It's a privilege to help!

I have been a long-time supporter of FOE. They have kept current informing the the public and helping to mobilize support for much needed reform in environmental laws and public policies.

I have never read an email from Friends of the Earth that I didn't agree with. I can see them earnestly fighting to save our wildlife and protect our land from fracking and our communities from pollution .We can't trust our government to do it.....there are too many large corporations and their profits involved. I sign everything I can from Friends of the Earth because I believe in them.

I have learned many things by reading their petitions. The most significant was learning about Paraquat insecticide causing Parkinson’s! My grandfather was a farmer in SWGA. He died in 1977 from Parkinson’s! Even though I have no way of telling weither he used it I am convinced it caused him to have it! Always wondered Why? How?
It also gives me away to support endangered species like wolves!

If you want to help, friends of the earth is your one stop shop! They are actual friends of the earth. They help everything on this earth that was gifted to us that unfortunately some have abused. They help the land, the animals the bees that we need for food. The water that we need to live, the poisons that hurt us and our earth they are fighting to eliminate. If you can think of one thing that you care deeply about, I bet they are fighting for it. I'm telling you, you can't go wrong supporting Friends of the earth. Look at what they stand for, they fight, fight and fight some more, there are plenty of charities out there that I want to help and I always have friends of the earth as number one because they fight for all of them that is important.

I greatly appreciate that Friends of the Earth focuses on policies and laws that can make both immediate and long term positive change on behalf of the creatures and habitats of our planet. They are on top of issues that most people don't have time to track and they have been effective in making the US and the world a better place.

When I review their petitions, I find that this organization is supporting the well-being of many, extremely important, environmental concerns, animal rights, and the health of the planet. I am grateful for their work

This is one of my favorite non-profits. I have been getting e-mails from Friends of the Earth for years. I love the causes they support, signing many, many petitions to show my support of their work. I also donate several time throughout the year. They make it easy for me to keep up to date on things I am concerned about and work I appreciate being done to help protect our world, the environment, and all living things that make up and contribute to a health and balanced existence here on earth.

I support Friends of the Earth financially because I believe in the mission. I appreciate the email notices FOE send me routinely for action about a broad array of issues. I encourage others to pursue this organization as a great connection to being involved effectively with the environmental problems of planet Earth.

I think it’s the responsibility of all that can, to do whatever it is to keep our planet safe from whatever is a threat too its existence.

The organization is good but the need to look deeper. Just going after big companies is only a part of the problem. The construction of homes on farm lands and building more homes when we have a water shortage is another part of the problem. Stop allowing illegals in the country and we would not need more homes.

This is such a great organization. They make it so easy to help you support a common cause !

They do a great job defending the natural environment

I have been donating to Friends of the Earth for 5 years because I feel they are an excellent environmental and wildlife advocacy nonprofit. I frequently see their organization quoted in news articles and mentioned in other earth conscious groups emails because they work in tandem to effectively lobby on many issues.

I think that you are one of the best if not thee best. You are right on top of everything. I admire your work and your petitions and all the hard work that all the people there are doing and very, very little of this is reported in the mainstream news media or even on YouTube but you guys tell it like it is and now it has been years since I have seen a butterfly and that makes me sad but more worried for the butterflies. I do see a few or one honey bee occasionally but that is about it. There is no lack of mosquitoes or house flies; but the really good insects are suffering. They could've helped the situation a long time ago by stopping neonics as well as glyphosate but it is an uphill battle. Thank you for all that you do. And the hunting and other ways of killing the Gray wolf, the Mexican gray wolf, grizzly bears, and beavers is so horrible but thank you so much for helping me to stay right on top of it.

Having a very limited income, I must choose The charities that I contribute to very carefully. Friends of Earth has consistently been top rated by the agencies that track. Philanthropic organizations. they have an excellent success rate Dealing with important issues. They are a good choice if you are trying to protect our planet.

Friends of the Earth is a dedicated organization which works tirelessly to defend animals and the environment every single day. They reach out in many ways from signing letters and funding causes such as the prevention of the extinction of bees and pollinators to pushing for life saving legislation and educating people all over the world about the dangers of powerful corporations polluting our world. They are making a big difference in the fight against environmental injustice and should be supported by everyone who can in any way.

The best thing about this charity is its mission to protect the Earth is so diversified to include pollution of our lands by toxic pesticides and gas and oil drilling, commercial overfishing of salmon that is negatively effecting the CHINOOK NATIVE AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE AND THE HEALTH AND LIFE OF THE REMAINING ORCAS (LESS THAN 100), the extreme pollution of our oceans by CRUISE LINERS AND OIL DRILLS effecting all marine life, the CRUELTY of TROPHY HUNTING and the negative results of loss of land animals such as our grizzly bears and wolves. THE EXTREME PLASTIC POLLUTION. PLUS, FRIENDS OF THE EARTH INFORMS ME AND GIVES ME AN EASY WAY TO SIGN THE PETITIONS. AN EASY WAY TO BECOME INVOLVED AND MAKE MY VOICE HEARD AND COUNTED.

I have been in touch with Friends of the Earth for nearly a decade, perhaps longer, and they have always been forthright and well-meaning, as far as I am concerned.
This company is the most petitioning of agricultural malfeasance I have ever known. They have never bothered me for anything I did not elicit. I love the company and their work, cannot hardly say how much good that they do: If Friends of the Earth was not around, we would have chemical companies and agricultural privateers running rough all over us, family farms, consumers.

Their graphics may not be as flashy as other nonprofits, but they make their point and that is to save non humans and humans from the consequences of the climate catastrophe. I make a point to sign all of their petitions, and contribute a couple of times a year. These people have been around a long time and are worthy of support.

Friends of the Earth has been an active organization dealing with climate change and advocating for animals for decades. The organization has been spearheading activities that advocate for pollinators, bears, wolves and many other creatures. They have worked to get dangerous pesticides and other harmful toxins banned. I believe this organization has a deep history of advocacy and a true concern for protecting the planet, wildlife and ecosystems.

They are very consistent with their campaigns. I have signed many petitions to try and get glyphosates and neonicotinoids out of insecticides. I wonder if they might consider partnering with Earthjustice or Natural Resources Defense Council since very little if any progress has occurred with regard to getting chemicals out of our environment. I remain very concerned that bees will go extinct.

I've been supporting FOE for quite a few years, they truly care and get things done, they let you know of the triumphs which helps in the sea of environmental tragedy this country has become; I believe in them and continue to support them.

Friends of the Earth has taken on the challenge of fighting for a better world through saving our vital environment. Through their work, I am able to contribute meaningfully to issues that I otherwise would not have the ability to due to the lack of time. Their concern and actions are essential and reflect a nonprofit truly committed to a cause.

This nonprofit does so much research into what is happening to our beautiful planet. I always feel confident supporting them. Absolutely a necessity that we, the earth, have someone doing some oversight and Friends of the Earth is it.

I love this nonprofit. They are on the front lines of all of the ongoing issues facing our lives through the attack on our environment. Without their constant and consistent reminders and their collections of our names on petitions, we would have far less of a voice to represent people's concerns for their surroundings. With most of the world putting, profit, politics and self-entitlement as their first priority, I am grateful for "Friends of the Earth" organization to not only constantly bringing to the public's attention serious threats against the environment, but actively working on stopping the destruction of our environment.

The earth and all the marvels of creation are manifold expressions of God's gift to us all. Our responsibility in showing our appreciation for this head-spinningly beautiful gift is to care for it with love and compassion, especially in trying times such as that of climate change.

A greatly involved organization to defend our unique nature and ecosystems, partially by proposing highly detailed letters to send within petitions that anyone can participate in. They are the primary petitions I sign, every single one that comes across my desk, every day. Friends of the Earth have a hyper awareness of all that needs protecting. Their petitions cover all the bases of what needs to be addressed right now. It is with Friends so the Earth’s help we can reach our lawmakers, company owners and all that need to be made aware that we are enough voters, consumers, etc. to make an impact in their lives so that we should be paid attention to. Even if they don’t understand the importance of the needs of the planet and it’s citizens, animal and human. We are all linked.

Reading all Friends of the Earth emails and signing where appropriate is my way of trying to contribute to their success.

As young as 3, I roamed the woods behind our house! Buttons, my cousin's collie would usually accompany me! Within another 2 years, developers had denuded my forest! The stream and ponds were mostly bulldozed under! But we would hike in the shadow of Hawk Mountain, 90 miles NW of Cherry Hill, NJ. Our family tradition of hiking can be traced over 300 years, to Germany! I have canoed and kayaked, since age 13! At age 70, I still have a strong love and affinity for nature! I can sometimes spy an Indian Ghost Deer, from my condo! I love that Friends of the Earth is trying to preserve the planet!

its good to know there are organizations dedicated to the wild life who dont have a say or vote and important to be a part of their petitions and work to save species on earth. spread the word and work to understand how every species are valuable to our planet and future.

I have been a long time member of Friends of the Earth and a monthly donor as well. They advocate strongly for issues I believe in that impact the planet. I appreciate their efforts on the part of pollinators and the need to eliminate dangerous pesticides. They are also very aggressive on the need to cut carbon emissions and help develop more green energy options. I also get reports of the outcome of actions/petitions I have signed which helps me see some results from my actions!

I believe in the mission of saving our planet. Each time that significant climate changes cause catastrophic events, each time that a species that is bordering extinction, each toxin that threatens our health, each source of pollution that contaminates our water supply and causes endocrine disorders, neurological diseases and cancers, we are required to turn our attention to and answer our call to action.

Friends of the Earth are acting on our behalf to do the hard work of raising awareness and advocating for legislature change to protect you and me, and our future family members. We are not a self-sustaining species; humans need to ensure that the circle of life (plants, animals, microbes) continues.

I have been associated with Friends of the Earth since 1992. It is an environmental organization whose leadership and staff understand that progress on the environment will be fleeting if we do not secure democracy on every front in the U.S. Friends of the Earth pushes the envelope, seeking the correct solution for environmental problems, not the easy answers. FoE has become much larger, in terms of campaigns, staff and budget, in the years I have been a part of the organization. I am proud to be a part of Friends of the Earth.

Friends of the Earth keeps me informed of contemporary issues that affect the world we live in. Their email notifications are timely and not repetitive, which I truly appreciate and, just as importantly, they don't make a pitch for donations every time they send you a notification. Fiends of the Earth is great! I was receiving so many emails, I had to unsubscribe to almost everything I could. And this is the only one I kept. They are covering everything I care for and send me a lot of petitions and nothing else. Perfect! Thank you Friends of the Earth for your fantastic work!

Friends of the Earth is a phenomenal organization! They take on so many good causes, sending frequent opportunities for activism. I especially appreciate that they have taken on factory farming which is so detrimental to the environment… yet few nonprofits even address this big issue. Friends of the Earth is by far one of the best nonprofits!

I always wanted to be a conservationist, and fought my parents to go to college and major in Geology. This was because in those days, the "environmental" field didn't exist; there were only a handful of "old white men" who were known as "Naturalists". When I was a little girl, I met Russell Train, who had just left the Supreme Court to become the head of the newly-created EPA. I tugged at his pant-leg and said "I want to help save nature, too! Please, let ME do something!" He laughed at me, patted my head, and said "Go get educated, little girl." My mother laughed at me and said "I'll remind you of this when you marry a nice lawyer or doctor and have BABIES." My father said "Not with YOUR bad Math grades." So I did it on my own. But after earning a Masters in Environmental Studies from Yale, and working in the field for a few years, the Recession hit, and young guys discovered the field. I was cut out of it, and couldn't get a job, even thought towns invited me to apply for them, ADMITTING that I scored highest on the exams and was better qualified and did better work than any of the other applicants. "But we want to hire this fellow, who's done other jobs with us for years, and whom we can help along," they'd say. So I became a teacher, instead, to support my husband. Now I'm 76, my husband is increasingly frail, and I can't get back into the field. I was "aged out" of my last teaching job, and my town's conservation commission and other environmental groups (which I spearheaded in creating) have moved on. With nothing but my back yard to work on, I still sign every petition and letter I can to support the environment. Friends of the Earth gives me a chance to do this. Its staff grew up in a world where The Environment is foremost in every schoolchild's mind, where women as well as men can find jobs and make meaningful protection a reality. "Apex Predators" have been surpassed by "Keystone Species" in our awareness, and now even the politicians are leaping in to save our world. I feel very jealous, as I can no longer go out and get my own hands muddy in the cause. There's no longer a need for me to teach field science to children during my holidays from teaching other subjects. But the world is a healthier place, now that everyone is coming up with great ideas. I just read that instead of wailing over the death of turtle grass for the manatees and the rest of the marine ecosystem, people are now PLANTING it, in newly accessible environments where it can thrive as well as in places where it's died out. DUH!!! I used to plant marsh grasses, to control shore erosion and compensate for marsh die-back, and teach kids to do it. So now others have rediscovered that this strategy is possible. Anyway: in the time I have left, I will continue to support others' efforts to save our planet, and rejoice that my beloved natural world will have a chance at surviving the human race.

I've always had faith in Friends of the Earth. They're one of the first and longest running groups of modern environmental activists, who have shown that people power and commitment can get results. Since the days of Rainbow Warrior, Friends of the Earth have stood up for environmental protection and protested against those who would destroy our planet. I wish I had so much courage, to get out there and get noticed.

Mother Earth and every single creature and eco system is important. We must fight to help Mother Earth to heal. To reduce climate change. And to protect every single animal that lives on this planet. Every single one serves a purpose. I hope others will do as I do and donate to help worthwhile charities such as this to help them achieve these goals. Even $5 helps. If everyone donated the cost of one Starbucks coffee we could make a difference.

Friends of the Earth regularly sends environmental petitions I can personalize and sign. Recently I signed petitions opposing ConocoPhillips' Willow Project and Bayer Monsanto's Roundup weed killer. I am glad I can take concrete action for the planet.

I sign a lot of FOE petitions in the hope that people and governments will listen. I already contribute monthly donations to the RSPB, Woodland Trust and Greenpeace so although not contributing to FOE financially I hope I can still do some good. Mike

Fighting for the great earth and world's wildlife.

Friends of the Earth is involved in the most important environmental struggles in the country. Whether it's the fight to stop climate change, or to prohibit stores from selling pesticides with bee-killing glyphosate, or to stop corporations from polluting our rivers and streams, Friends of the Earth's attorneys work for the natural world and win. Whenever I donate to them, I know the money will be used to fight for the air, water and land, and the wildlife that depends on them.

I have happily signed multiple petitions and donated to Friends of the Earth since 2016. They advocate for a better planet and work diligently to protect all the life that depends on it. While I can't always give what I would like, I give what I can because what they do is truly invaluable.

Friends of the Earth truly covers ALL types of issues-whether it's pesticides, Endangered Species, Animal Abuse-they are working on many fronts to help combat pollution, cruelty, chemicals and informing, engaging others in how to create change.
They are relentless and wonderful!

Friends Of The Earth are absolutely un-relenting in their advocacy for wild animals, wild spaces, a clean environment for humans and good planetary citizenship. They are true heros!

I really wish I could donate but I live on a very small fixed income and I'm barely getting by! I consider myself to be an Activist and Envirmentalist ( can't spell) and I proud of it!!! I always find FOE to be the front runner in the fight for the future of pollinators and our food system. I love their “now and no compromise” agenda defending our environmental protections from people that want to eliminate them. I sign every petition ‘friends of the earth’ sends me. Their activism is essential to, as my friend and co-founder, David Brower, often said, “to slow down the rate at which things get worse!” Please keep up the good work!

As it tries to help the planet with its environment and climate change, it doesn't fully help. But I will give them an A for effort in "trying". And at least they won't give up on the planet. That's admirable.

For some time now Friends of the Earth has helped keep me abreast of issues that affect us all. They are an important conduit for correct and reasonable information. I can't imagine what I might have missed if not for their diligence and advocacy.

For some time now I have supported them with petition signing, contacting my representatives, cash, and other ways. Unfortunately, my retirement and a fixed income has stopped me from making donations on a regular basis, but they have kept the information coming. I am glad for that.

As someone who is passionate about saving pollinators and being active in the fight to keep fossil fuels in the ground I highly recommend this non-profit.

I am a totally committed environmentalist who tries to set a lifestyle model for the universal personal sacrifice that is direly needed to (even) begin to "make a dent" in the environment-destroying "human" legacy of the (especially) past ≈ 150 years. I applaud your emails, and poignant appeals and, with hope, sign each one of your petitions. However, I find that your good efforts and intentions (despite your relatively small size and disunion from like causes) are gravely undermined by separatism: that is, you (+ the many other noble causes) apparently, fail to realize that your/our environmental remediation cause(s) could become an irresistible juggernaut were you/we to join with the myriad other similar/related causes--forming one single mega-organization. To such a single-minded/purpose group, many people (including me) would be far more likely to donate large amounts of their resources toward relevant goals and objectives. This splintered (among multiple causes) approach is clearly not faring well as to the above stated goals and issues including, but not limited to: definitively ending the use of fossil fuels, petrochemicals, and the murderous, ubiquitous plastics, the rescue of habitat and the rapidly failing animal and plant species eco-support system and, especially, the curtailment of most human activity, namely moratoria on birth, travel, material consumption, industrial production, AND the fostering of a simpler, localized lifestyle for the bulk of humankind--for the duration. I've been donating to Friends of the Earth causes for quite some time. They're really great. They really care about this tiny dot we call home, our planet.

I am proud to be a supporter of Friends of the Earth and urge everyone I know to do so as well. We have gotten some good news this past week about the successful passage of Pres. Biden's new environmental/infrastructure bill. Raising funds through additional taxes on our wealthiest is fair and sensible. The future for our country and our planet finally looks hopeful.

I have been a pacifist and an activist most of my 76 years.
Although I live a on a fixed income (Social Security), and cannot give as much as I would like,
I know that any money I do give, goes toward helping keeping a viable planet for the environment, and the people - - making the Earth a better place!

I am a single person but over the years I have been able to rescue animals that have come my way. When I was 13 I rescued a baby squirrel. When I was 19 I rescued a baby duckling that had been thrown into a small pond in Central Park --it was in a bag. I talked with a gamekeeper and then brought the duckling home to my apt and rehabilitated it and then brought it back to the gamekeeper who pronounced it strong and well. I found an abandoned dog and took it home and spent 3 months looking for a new home and found one. I found a small stunned bird on the sidewalk and took it inside and revived it. I live in an apt. building that has milkweed for monarch butterflies ... and there is a hummingbird feeder in my front garden. These are all very simple activities. I just don't walk on by when a creature needs my help.

I am heartily pleased with the work of Friends of the Earth to protect our precious wildlife.

Friends of the Earth is an excellent charitable organization. I typically get 1-2 emails from them each day, asking me to sign my support for different causes that mean very much to me - to keep our air, earth and water clean, and to help animals on land or in water. Their emails are easy to read and respond. They are my fav online charitable organization.

When I receive an email from Friends of the Earth, I pay attention. I live on a fixed income and am not able to donate, but I can sign petitions. I am made aware of the ongoing assault on our environment and the plight of earth's animals and peoples. It gives me a platform to assist and understand. I am grateful they exist. I can contribute, albeit in a small way. It gives me a voice and It makes my life more meaningful.

I have been supporting FOTE for years to support their work for environmental protections.

Living in a rural area, I used to get many monarch butterflies at my residence for years. This has diminished to only a few lately. To correct this, I have let milkweed grow in my yard. It propagates by itself and is spreading, coming back after winter. This Fall there should be results.

There are two major threats to the environment: carbon in the atmosphere --- I do what I can about that; and the Republican Party --- and I joined with Friends of the Earth to encourage voters to vote wisely and well. I am grateful to FOE for providing me an avenue by which I can do a little more to save the country and the planet.

Climate Change shouldn’t have become a Political issue at all. Every year has become hotter than the previous year. Republicans have used it as a tool in such a way that children play on a playground. We’ll give you one if you give us three in exchange.
This has become an extremely dangerous game that they have been playing for years. Contagious epidemic’s are going to become even worse now. There are at least 212 recognized diseases that will not only kill billions of people, let alone the inability to grow food, feed cattle and most of all our children and grandchildren. The abuse of antibiotics in our food have left our immune system extremely compromised.

Friends of the Earth is doing important work to educate the public on environmental issues so important at this time!

Friends of the Earth is a non-profit grass-roots group that I have supported for many years now. They organize petitions and rallies to present to lawmakers the important issues on keeping our air, water, land, flora and fauna safe. They also coordinate with larger groups to work towards the same goals.

Just a few of the projects they work on are climate, pesticides, fair trade, animal sanctuaries, saving the bees, fossil fuels, EPA accountability, and keeping politicians honest on these subjects.

I have been aware of the threats of Climate Change since I graduated from the University of Chicago with my master’s degree. Since then, I have been trying to spread the word and demand action on climate. My wife and joined an active FoE group in Lancaster in 1975 while working at the university there. I worked closely with Walter Patterson from FoE Poland Street , London on local nuclear issues including Polaris at Barrow-in-Furness, Sellafield, nuclear waste shipment and management and the construction of the hugely expensive Heysham AGR's . With other colleagues at the university we started Half Life a local and influential organisation .Moving to Winchester we joined FoE Winchester. In Winchester I worked with Prof Frank Barnaby on a series of nuclear matters. I taught Life l and Environmental Sciences at King Alfred's College Winchester and later at the Winchester University. working from 2000 on action on global heating and the ecological crisis.

I'm writing to express how strong my feelings have become in light of the consistent decline that we are witnessing environmentally, ecologically, and in terms of the earth's changes in relation to atmospheric conditions, tides, melting, etc. our earth has been plundered long enough. We have gone way beyond gathering and hunting what we NEED to survive. Now we are squeezing the very essence of life out of our land, destroying immense numbers of species who are quickly becoming extinct. We are honing in on illegal and ruthless behaviors of persons who abuse animals, marine life. Big corporate structures and even major health institutions are involved in needlessly testing and then killing animals, when there are now more advanced non-animal technologies that will serve this purpose. From wolves, to grizzlies, to baby turtles, manatees, animals too countless to name here, we are destroying the essence of life. Everything is connected. We will be next. Take up the charge and do even one thing to help--write a letter to leadership, tell others, read labels more carefully, shop wisely, become more active in saving life. Friends of the Earth has been a vital part of several initiatives in my area as well as litigation to advocate for the most vulnerable of wildlife species and the environment.
There is always a greater impact when several organizations come together for a cause and seeing Friends of the Earth behind advocacy work that fights trophy hunting, the unjustified targeting of wolves and the near-extinction of pollinators among other important actions tells me that this non-profit knows what needs to be done and puts forth strenuous and targeted efforts in aligning itself on the side of justice and on behalf of the Earth and its natural inhabitants.

I particularly appreciate being notified about situations that threaten wildlife, such as bees, butterflies, bears and wolves, due to governmental or industry actions, so that I can take action. As the result of the information I receive, I write to my Congressional representatives and others as well as notify my friends, family and contacts in social media to urge them to do the same. Friends of the Earth is one of the great organizations to come out of the Environmental Movement of the mid-20th century. It was founded by the legendary David Brower (read about him in John McPhee's Conversations with the Archdruid). While not a massive organization FOE is massively effective in what it does. And as the old saying goes, "Eternal Vigilance is the price of liberty" -- which is very true now as the USA - both parties - are starving the public lands, privatizing publicly funded assets like campgrounds and reservation systems, and now floating the idea of completely privatizing the national park service. So if you value public lands, a healthy ecosystem, and a shift of tax money from privatization and wasteful military spending to the parks and forests - or simply a healthy environment - FOE is for you.

I am involved with FOE on a regular basis: I sign their petitions almost everyday. I appreciate the amount of petitions, and their scope. They seem to cover a wide variety of environmental issues in the United States. I feel that they are always on top of their research, and I feel happy to be making a difference. I would give five stars, however I am rarely told the outcome of most petitions, and a lot of petition emails are repeated.

For over 30 years I've stood with Friends of the Earth as member, board member & chair to be part of our bold & fearless 3 million voices protecting the water, air, climate & inhabitants of this endangered planet. I'm proud to have marched around the White House to keep fossil fuels in the ground, to have sued corporate polluters & the U.S. Government for failing to enforce existing environmental laws & to have donated dollars in behalf of FoE's perpetual presence as the vanguard of those fighting for a just & healthy world!

Their campaigns focus on clean energy and solutions to global warming, protecting people from toxic and new, potentially harmful technologies and promoting smarter, low-pollution transportation alternatives. Friends of the Earth U.S. is also a part of Friends of the Earth International, the world's largest grassroots environmental network. They help to protect the rights of all people to live in a safe and healthy environment, in the US and in countries around the world. Their belief is that justice and the health of the planet are part of the same struggle.

Great place for people who Care about the Earth like myself.

FoE regularly keeps me apprised of their many, effective, pro-environment activities and consistently (but not insistently) offers me opportunities to help them help our beleagured planet.

I support literally dozens of environmental and animal welfare organizations and Friends of the Earth is one I never ignore. That says a lot, because my Inbox is inundated with petitions and donation appeals daily, seemingly hourly. So I delete the lion's share just to maintain my sanity -- and I'm a staunch supporter of these orgs!

But FoE doesn't contact me until / unless they need me to DO Something WITH Them.
(Too) few activist orgs engage their supporters like that -- and as a part-time copywriter who has studied these things, I can only applaud FoE's capability on that too.

I’ve been involved with protecting our planet for over 50 years. My passion is to assist in educating that everything is about ecosystems! If it’s the stream that runs through my neighborhood, the marshland that replaced where they built the new high school, Death Valley desert - each ecosystem, large or small, is an interdependent group of species - take one of them away and everything changes, some will die. Why are wolves important to their ecosystem, or a spider, or the waterfall? And of course - the Earth is one glorious Ecosystem. Friends of the Earth does the best job of using our contributions to keep these ideas in Congress as well as in everyone’s conversation. They give us all hope.

Yes i got ambition to save the world. And we are by the Tipping Points and our own extinctioin, and since then I have been nailed to my chair. I used to write on a blog, and I thaught people wanted to survive, ,but most of them are not able to think or do right.

The only solutions are to change the Economy, and free trade deals that gives money a higher value than the Nature, because these forces have driven us outside our own borders.
I follow Positive Pengar Sweden, having an excellent solution for the Economy, Samuel F Kazén, said that it should be translated into English, and then I will send it. It don't have to replace the economy, it is the same kind of Econmy as today, but only the Central bank will have the role of "printing" the public money.

But that must be fullfilled just now, not after the Tipping points. We are on the brink of our own Extcinction, and may all good forces now got together, because after it si far to late.
I am really afraid and actions go far too slow.
I tried to Enter Penn's Unviersity this summer, but it got too heavy alone. Cause we have to get a cooperation with the Goverments and Universities and those dealing with the Economy, because of the short time left for save us from Extinciton.
I failed to send it in time to Penn's University, and I feel that was bad and I failed, because I have daughters that i love, and i do love the Wild life, that is all that is of important.

OK: I cannot give money to all the requesta. I have been donating to the Nature Protection Association of Finland, Sea Shepherd, Greenpeace, Animal Alert of Finland (Oikeutta Eläimille) etc., so as I'm an old grandmother with health problems, I can only support other organizations. I keep a small B&B in the wilderness north of Finland, so I have very little funds today due to COVID-19, less tourists and also, plese note, I'm actually in pension (73 years).

No amount of money is worth destroying their planet!!

Friends of the Earth is a great charity dedicated to helping all animals, butterflies, etc. making our world a better place to live. Without animals, there's not much of a point to live. Without butterflies, there is reduced to no produce so we have no life either as we can't eat. I find FotE to be reputable. Even though they need money to help out and preserve animal life, they are not like some charities that are continually basically guilting you into giving.

The Friends of the Earth organization has championed a large variety of ecological and environmental causes. It has supported animals facing the threat of extinction (e.g., manatees, monarch butterflies), animals cruelly and excessively/unnecessarily hunted (e.g., grizzly bears, wolves), natural habitats (e.g., the Amazon rainforests; the Arctic), and many others. It has organized campaigns addressed not only to decision-makers in Washington, D.C. (or various states), but also to the heads of various corporations, to stores carrying destructive products, and to banks supporting corporations that damage ecosystems. All told, this is a remarkable group, and I encourage people to support it!

If only there was a way to give the earth back to the earth and ocean back to ocean it would be outstanding to get the planets lungs back whilst clearing out the oceans of plastic islands, all 5 that in theory might prove useful in some form or fashion,if not; we put tons of metal in outer space, how hard would it be to send plastic islands up to burn up in the atmosphere ? unless that’s pollution too.

I believe Friends of the Earth to be an organization that works hard to support its mission of protecting and saving endangered species and combating climate change. I have donated to this group after researching through great nonprofits and other websites.

The system at Friends of the earth makes it simple to be politically bold and active regarding real time issues affecting all of us!

I appreciate their work and the opportunities for action that they make simple and approachable to the average person.

Friends of the earth have always been there to give good advice

I appreciate that F.OE. directs its actions and my donation dollars to specific, tangible environmental threats and pending Legislation or existing policies. So any actions taken can be seen when they are effective.
My experience volunteering in a local action was very positive! During a Congressional recess we delivered Petitions to US Senators offices here in Boston. The event coordinator was very good in communicating our meeting time & place & coordinating w/other volunteers. He did a great job in lousy, rainy weather leading a handful of us around to the MA Senators' offices in downtown Boston. I got the email replies from Sen.s Markey & Warren so I knew our rainy lunch-hour trek downtown was noticed a bit!

The activities make me feel a vital part in protecting our Environment.

I've been a part of FOE for several years now, and I'm proud of the good work that they've done.

I have been a supporter of Friends of the Earth for the past 3 years now. Although I cannot be a member of this wonderful organization, I support them occasionally. This organization has the same beliefs as I do whether it's fighting climate change, saving bees and other endangered species from extinction, trying to rid the world of dangerous toxic chemical or pesticides that could do harm to humans, wildlife, and insects, or standing up for other injustices to people this organization will fight for you and they are committed to the cause. I have advocated sided by side with Friends of the Earth on many occasions and they really care about our planet and always take bold and robust action and steps when necessary. This organization is someone you can always count on and will always have your back. I am proud to be a supporter of this organization.

we need this organization to help stop those who are destroying our olanet

I believe that this organization really goes above and beyond to uncover the atrocities that plague our society and others around the world. I make an effort to sign petitions and donate when I can, but nevertheless, it seems that the very same problems persist despite all the people these petitions reach, signatures given, and donations made. I have to have faith that all of this work will bring changes, but it's so difficult to see at this point. What a sad situation we are in, and its even more horrible that everyone is not on board! I really hope that humanity changes its collective views and attitudes toward our environment, air, water, fellow creatures, and mental health (which, it seems, is key), and it's more likely with this non-profit organization bringing these issues to the right places for examination. Thanks so much to everyone involved for all the hard work and attention to details.

I am very happy to have discovered this nonprofit organization. Their commitment to saving our environment is awesome. I particularly support their efforts on behalf of the bees and other endangered pollinators.

I have always been in love with fauna and flora. Since very young I have this connection with all creatures perhaps because my grandmother came from a rural farm own by her parents before she moved to the city in the 1940's Basque country and she had a passion for birds that she rescued and it didn't matter if were making a mess in the house because the love for them was bigger and more important, though I have to admit wasps from Spain and spiders did scared me until I educated myself and realise all creatures, not matter which one, have an important mission and role in this planet and the more diversity the healthier, stronger and sustainable will be the ecosystem of the world but sadly if we don't change we could loose that.

If we want to maintain live in earth, we need to start thinking more consciously when it comes to the state of the planet. Why desertification is growing and the answer seems simple, humans are using too many resources from natural habitats and we aren't giving back to nature to valance the act, no living ecologically in the way we have engineer our homes and structures which are separating us from nature. The thought that God will provide for us is true only if we respect and start giving what we take so this way many other generations could enjoy this beautiful planet, which is our only true home and can't no longer be mistreated like we do because is a path for self destruction.

Endless consumerism, irresponsible use of resources and energy, miss management of the land and farms need to be reform in a kinder way for a beautiful world which is going to be a tough as our lives have to become really different, a change to the right direction to be in touch with our spiritual side that makes us happy and harmonious with in the natural world and not get separate from the truth.

This issue is very important to me because I have a son which years back I joked with him by asking where all the children have gone? perhaps they have turn into night creatures but sadly his generation seems they've lost that curiosity and enthusiasm with the natural world, lucky my son is been homeschooled and we have a lot of time being outside enjoying the time for observing and studding nature which he loves when he is in the outdoors with also very few friends but its sad to see many of his peers no longer we seeing playing freely in the outdoors, as in my generation, instead computer games and phones are been replace which we must fightback for the love of humanity and the planet.

Friends of the earth is an environmental organization that is focused: saving the bees has been a major push; without pollinators life on this planet will end, and that is not an exaggeration. They are also working very hard to push back against fossil fuels, which are destroying our planet. We have clean alternatives that could be in place at a much larger scale, but as always, private interests are involved. They aren't extremists, just diligent people working daily to promote wise, long-term practices. Give their next email a quick read. And by the way, once you've entered your signature info it's saved, so all you have to do is click to support future efforts in this very important work. PLEASE do. It takes so little effort but can have such an impact.

Everyone should listen to young leaders like Greta Thunberg, Who has the right amount of Passion, understanding, and courage to stand up against lazy, liar, driven politicians and industrialist which have no interest in protecting our environment from climate change, plastics in the oceans, pollution of the air, water, food, they don't care about tomorrow or the children who will inherent the world left behind. Their future is in jeopardy if we, nation fail to act and act now to change the path we are going or their will be no future for them so we should listen to people with courage like Greta, standing up for all humanity to save the planet and us from those who just want to satisfy their own greed., and not our future.

Always on the edge the make the planet a better place

One of the few nonprofits that truly make a difference and, don’t make you feel bad for not being able to donate. Please join in supporting this nonprofit they are worth working with.

This organization has petitions that are to the point and fight against those that are ignoring or furthering the climate and biodiversity crises. They don't send too many emails and help me feel like I have a voice against some of the heartless, unsensible acts that some of us humans do.

As a spiritual person I follow the teaching our natural surroundings have to offer me. Let's face it, we only have one planet. We are all in this life together. We are all connected to one another and to our world. I have noticed what the changes in our climate have brought. Please please change your actions to cause no harm to Mother Earth.

The 7th generation deserves to have an environment that is clean and a natural environment full of varied species and flora.
There have been countless extinctions just in my lifetime. At this rate the 7th generation will have nothing but a polluted mess and only pictures of the past.
For those who do not know who the 7th generation is it is your great grandchild's great grandchild.
I support Friends of the Earth for them, the 7th generation. You should too. They are the future and we in the present should base our consumption with their needs in mind.

What can I say? Friends of the Earth are exactly what it says on the box, friends and supporters of the only Earth we've got, and the sort of people that we all need if our world is to survive into the next century.
For over two centuries humans have been mistreating and abusing our earth and over-using its bounty, and the earth has had enough. We are almost at the point of no return and if we are to leave a planet upon which our great-grandchildren and their descendants can survive we need organisations such as Friends of the Earth as a rallying point round which we can gather and co-ordinate our fight for our only earth's survival.
It's no use turning to Governments, if they are like ours they are either totally uncaring about any life beyond their own, or they falsely believe their wealth and status will protect them while our children are destroyed around them.
Which is why I believe in this organisation and support them, and will do so till we finally have an earth upon which our future generations will be able to live.

can support every initiative as much as many would like to. But just pick one or two. For my part I am a beekeeper and love the sweet fringe benefits. In addition I support cleaner oceans donating and collecting donations on my birthday(June 22) every year. In so doing I am supporting a ban on ocean dumping recognizing that we can recycle/re-purpose just about everything. Further recycling plastics protects our air from harmful pollutants released from the refinement of plastics from petroleum products etc. So, as you can see, by supporting one or two you indirectly support many facets of working for a cleaner healthier environment. Join me. Just do something.
