Center for Biological Diversity for years has brought to my attention threats to life on earth and ways to help. They are hard working, doing all they can to protect our planet.
I am honored and proud to be a part of, and sharing in, this wonderful, award-winning organization's hard work, dedication, passion, and compassion in protecting and enhancing the health, well-being, harmony, and happiness of all creatures, great and small. Of greatest importance to me are the Center's tenacity, and ultimate successes, in its powerful wildlife- and habitat-conservation efforts, and in fighting both the causes and effects of climate change. I have only the highest praise and tremendous gratitude for the Center for Biological Diversity, and look forward to many MORE years of supporting and participating in its missions.
A wonderful non-profit organization, dedicated to the preservation, conservation, and defense of all forms of life, and our planet, as a whole. I am very proud and honored to play a significant role in the success of its campaigns, etc., especially those that bring about much-needed change in the way that man treats its precious animals. Thank you to all the amazing people at the Center for Biological Diversity, for all that you do to ensure a better tomorrow for everyone and everything without a voice.
It is a real honor to be a small part of this great organization. Their willingness to go all in to protect our wildlife and public lands is a true inspiration. The Center for Biological Diversity is a Nonprofit that really cares about our planet and they truly realize there is no planet B.
It is so wonderful to know that groups like this are out there working to keep the earth beautiful and full of wildlife!
The Center for Biological Diversity has consistently worked for our environment and wildlife in ways that are pro-active, practical and constructive. They use both legal and educational means to great success. I've learned so much from their newsletters, and have been inspired to act because of them. Others have been too, as evidenced by the news. They're also good at coalition-building with regional groups and other environmentalists. We need both these practical approaches and also the inspiration to engage if we're going to make changes and protect our world, and the Center excels at both.
This is an effective organization at protecting wildlife and natural habitat. They are my first choice for supporting conservation non-profits.
In my opinion, CBD's mission is the most important work on earth today. They are effective and efficient.
I have been following the work of the Center for Biological Diversity for many years now. I am continually impressed with the information they disseminate to the public especially regarding the public land issues. If it were not for this organization many of the protections that have been under attack by the administration (Bear Ears, End. Species Act, Clean Water and Clean Air acts, etc) would have prevailed. This org does excellent work to keep the protections for public lands and wildlife that we have fought so hard to gain. There is so much work to be done and thanks to these folks, we now know more about what is happening than ever before. Keep up the good work!
When the Center For Biological Diversity started the campaign "Call of the Wild" to bring attention to the plight of wolves across the 48 contiguous United States, I signed up to help and collected dozens of signatures on comment cards. I thought it was a very good way to stimulate public awareness and pressure the government to stop weakening the Endangered Species Act. These grass roots efforts are essential if we, as a nation, are going to stop the environmental destruction perpetrated by today's federal government. The Center for Biological Diversity is quick to initiate well-directed campaigns that involve and educate the public. Cheers to Cntr4BioDiv!
I love the Center for Biological Diversity E-Newsletter! It gives a short update on serious issues that endangered species and habitats are facings - and actions that can be taken to solve these issues. Perfect for busy people that care about our planet! Thank you Center for Biological Diversity for the wonderful education that you provide to people that care!
I’m always so excited to see I have an email from Center for Biological Diversity!
It is a must see for environmental news, always keeps you informed with the details. Great reading and no nonsense reporting!
Quick and easy access for letter campaigns and action alerts!
The Center for Biological Diversity is a conservation group that I give to with full confidence that they will leverage my donation to achieve real protections for wildlife and endangered species. they don't spam you with mass mailings, they don't try to bribe you with plushy toys or other gimmicks. they are uncompromising in defense of the planet; reading about their work is a daily inspiration
The Center for Biological Diversity is the non profit I have received emails from the longest and the reason is that they do not just ask me for money but they educate me in areas no one else seems to be interested in. Maybe pikas and tiny plants or fish no one even knows about don't seem important but CBD lives up to their name and works to protect them all while educating the public about their importance. They also seem to be very effective and hard working individuals who strongly believe in their work. Thank you CBD for all your dedication.
I like how Center for Biological Diversity keeps fighting for wildlife which is most essential for our ecosystem
The Center for Biological Diversity is making a tremendous impact for Animal, Plant, Ecological welfare, worldwide. Particularly, i am grateful to see that they are involving mainstream news media to inform and educate the general public, optimizing the potential for preserving biological diversity, that otherwise, once it's lost, its lost.
Thank you CBD!
What I most appreciate about Center for Biological Diversity is that most of their posts are accompanied by actions. In many cases I simply can't bear to read any more ECO destruction without being able to comment, send an action to my legislature or do something.
This crew delivers good info with some hope that ones opinion may make it to the power brokers, just in case it may do some good.
Center for Biological Diversity is working hard to protect our wildlife & preserve our natural resources. I hope they keep on diligently being protectors of our world.
The Center for Biological Diversity works tirelessly to protect the environment and the wildlife. I also like their financial transparency and how well they communicate to the general public what they are doing and how they are doing it. This is a great organization that helps protect the environment against the greed and shortsightedness of politicians and businessmen.
The Center for Biological Diversity does inspiring work delving into the the relevant issues concerning life on our fragile planet. As all their investigations remind us that every successful ecosystem is an intricate web of interdependence, the name of this nonprofit is a perfect homage to that importance. They lead in the right direction, all we have to do is follow the trail of enlightenment.
Extremely hard-working charity on front lines of battles got our environment and all of the life dependent on it.
The Center for Biological Diversity well deserves its stellar ratings on philanthropy evaluations. The work it has done to protect dwindling species is outstanding. I especially appreciate the organization calling attention to the problem of human overpopulation as a major factor in the climate crisis as well as wildlife habitat destruction.
The CBD is an incredibly successful and inspiring organization that is fully dedicated to its mission to protect and defend wildlife, while educating the public and holding politicians accountable to make legislative decisions that will save species and their vital habitats. They fire on all cylinders to address these goals and inspire us all with their NEVER GIVE UP attitude to wildlife conservation, climate change abatement, and curbing human population growth. No non-profit works harder or has more commitment to their critically time-dependent goals than the CBD. Keep up the amazing work!
The Center for Biological Diversity is one of the very best conservation organizations out there. They are constantly going to court, and winning, to fight against the special interest groups that want to destroy the environment and our wildlife for their own greedy profits. Love the Center and have been supporting them for years.
The Center for Biogical Diversity is one of my favorite environmental groups. They fight tooth and nail to protect our environment and the animals by going to court and not giving up. And they win more often than not. With so much destruction by the corporations and special interest groups who care only about their own greedy agendas, it's great to know that the Center is on the front lines every day doing everything they can to help keep the environment and the animals safe.
In my opinion the Center for Biological Diversity is an amazing organization looking after wildlife and wild places as noted under the law. The hold those accountable that do not follow the laws of this country. I respect this organization for all the battles they fight in the court system seeking justice and what is right.
We are blessed to live in a country that is so rich with a wide array of diverse species and amazing special places that they and we call home. We need to protect these places and the species that depend on them. The Center does this.
CBD is constantly winning lawsuits against the government and corporations that are trying to destroy our ecosystem and the co -inhabitants of our beautiful planet. A dollar given to them is always well spent.
They are always on top of the current issues and taking legal action when necessary. When I emailed to ask about the worth of a bill regarding public lands, they responded within 12 hours with details on how it was good or bad. I feel they are trustworthy and truly care about our natural world. So refreshing. -Cindy
Center for Biological Diversity is one of the best environmental and wildlife protection non-profit organization. For their hard work and amazing results, I just want to say thank you so much for everything you are doing.
The more I learn about the Center for Biological Diversity, the more impressed I become.
I've been involved with them for about two years now. I started out with a one-time donation and soon became a monthly donor.
Just recently I participated as a volunteer for the first time, collecting and delivering petitions to my local House Representative to save the Endangered Species Act. Even though I had never done anything like that before, they made it so easy to do. They provided coaching, step-by-step instructions and everything I needed to be successful. As a corporate trainer and process improvement facilitator, I have a very critical eye for training and work processes, and still they impressed me!
The Center for Biological Diversity is a unique and effective group of hardworking people who want to preserve and protect our planet and all its life forms. Most of our nation's wildlife laws emanate from legislation, with the judicial system as a backdrop. The Center recognizes this and aims for the courts first and foremost--this is why they have been so successful. They fight not only because all those "others" who inhabit our planet have no voice, but even more so because they have far more "earth standing" than our own species. Simply put, the laws of man can never supersede the laws of nature, and the miracle of all Life.
The Center for Biological Diversity is foremost of all the so-called "environmental" organizations who understand the priceless value of all life on earth. I have stretched my own budget to donate more because of the extinction crisis. If some label this successful group as "radical," then I'm proud to be radical.
The Center for Biological Diversity stands up for wildlife and our environment. I appreciate that one of their strongest tools is taking the polluters and those who would destroy our wildlife to court. They are tireless in their efforts and I appreciate all they do to save our wild things and our wild places.
The Center is lean and mean and fights hard to protect our wild lands and the wild lives that depend on them. It partners with other strong environmental groups to deliver results. Five stars!
The Center For Biological Diversity is an honest broker committed to doing the right thing for wild lands and the flora and fauna that populate them without regard to political and corporate influence. I am a happy donor to the cause and hope you too will support this fine organization.
I regularly support the Center for Biological Diversity. They may not have the jazziest name, but the amount they accomplish is phenomenal! I don't know of any organization that has worked harder or taken more legal action on behalf of wildlife and the environment. They are amazing!
I have been happily stunned by your ability to fight for many desperate environmental and wildlife causes with so much success and passion. I would not be as informed and somewhat hopeful without your vital work ! I'm so grateful to the Center ! !
I shudder to think what shape our national public lands, endangered species and other wildlife, and environmental laws would be in without the Center's unceasing defense of them. They are tenacious, courageous and unfailingly effective. We are so fortunate that their work keeps us all going.
We donate to a number of environmental and animal protection organizations, and have for decades. The Center for Biological Diversity is the very best of all them, because they are active on the local level as well as nationally.
I really appreciate being kept up-to-date on environmental issues and signing petitions!!
I have watched this nonprofit grow into a powerhouse of energy in it's mission to protect biological diversity and our environment from thoughtless profiteers and big industry. They are fast, intelligent, and impressively effective in saving ALL living species - animal, plant, and microbial. If it is part of the ecosystem, the Center for Biological Diversity is there to protect and nurture it. Great work by some wonderful people in a very efficient organization. Very highly recommended and trustworthy.
The Center for Biological Diversity is one of the hardest hitting defenders of our planet. The Center punches far above its weight by slamming corporate polluters in the only way they'll have to pay attention: in the legal system. And somehow they also keep us supporters engaged, learning, and entertained in the process. Hats off to the Center's tremendously successful staff!
I have monitored (and financially supported) the Center's advocacy efforts for many years. What an amazing organization. They are on the front lines fighting for the most important issues of our time. Please keep up your brave and selfless work. And thank you.
Love everything about this organization! They have a really good balance in their newsletter of sharing both good and bad things, which makes it so much easier to digest. I feel like my donations always goes to the cause and I am so glad I'm going to be able to feature them on my blog to spread awareness about this great charity!
The Center works hard for the betterment of our country's natural spaces. It's important work, and they do it well. They have simple, but effective ways for those who receive their emails to personalize and then send prewritten letters to Congress and other organizations to urge them to act in favor of animals and wild spaces. Without these emails, I wouldn't know where to begin in terms of taking action to help preserve the creation.
This is my favorite environmental organization to donate to, because I am convinced that it actually makes a difference. I firmly believe the Center for Biologic Diversity to be one of the most effective organizations fighting for the future of our planet and the amazing wildlife we share it with.
Whether or not you can afford to donate, I highly recommend at least subscribing to emails from this organization. They are highly informative, sometimes uplifting, sometimes even amusing, and often contain easy ways to help save wildlife and public lands, such as online letter writing campaigns and petitions to sign.
Of the many organizations I receive email from, the Center for Biological Diversity's emails are the only ones that I ALWAYS actually open and read. I especially enjoy reading about the "wins" which are many, even in these times.
CBD is an incredibly diligent and effective environmental organization. I closely follow its work and I know that it plays a pivotal role in stopping many bad proposals and advancing many good proposals. For example, where I live in southern Utah, CBD has been working hard to stop destructive projects, such as frak sand mining near Kanab, the Lake Powell Pipeline, and the Northern Corridor highway through the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area. Kudos to CBD!
I do read all your news, it brings detail of so many species that you may not even have heard of, who are in trouble and who you are helping. Education, knowledge and action is key to saving nature, which is what you do. Well done and carry on!
The Center for Biological Diversity is truly amazing: it's comprehensive, informative, and compelling. I find myself reading the entire newsletter, which indicates how compelling it is because I receive 75 to 100 emails per DAY. Today I wrote letters to the US Department of Interior and officials in Nevada who are about to violate the Endangered Species Act with a misguided land-use proposal, both letters the consequence of the Center's campaigns and requests. Without their tireless advocacy, I would fear even more for the future of so many wildlife species. Thank you for speaking up for disappearing and speechless species.
I love the Center for Biological Diversity. Staff at this organization obviously care deeply for the beauty and wonder of the world's biodiversity and they fight hard in the courts and in the streets to protect it. I am always impressed by the lawsuits they are pursuing--sadly too many in today's political arena that often appears to care not a whit about anything but pillaging the Earth--but CBD is in there running interference. Thank you CBD! I will continue to support you.
I am so grateful for their constant sharing of information in regards to what is actually going on in our country/on the planet- as far as keeping the species and areas as healthy and maintained as possible. To be directed to call or sign on initiatives allowing our voices to be heard has been a gift to me and to all of us who are concerned about our planet’s Sustainability.
A million thank you’s!
The absolute best agency that continually goes to the mat for wildlife and the environment. They stay in contact with their supporters. They are on the side of wildlife and the environment.
I have been following the center for awhile. They keep people informed of what is really happening and tell it like it is. The center works hard to fight big corporations in court for our wildlife. I have donated and believe the money is going to help our animals and their habitats.
I encourage you to see for yourself.
What I like best about the Center for Biological Diversity is their resilience, tenacity, cleverness, and of course the inspiring and informative newsletter. I wish every charity I care about was like the Center.
Since I got involved with the Center for Biological Diversity some six months ago I have consistently been very impressed with the impact that this organization has. Not only do I have utmost confidence that my donations are being put to work, but they do a great job getting volunteers involved in a variety of different ways. Through them, I have for the first time both called my congressman's office and also visited in person as part of the delivery of petitions signatures to push a bill to strengthen the endangered species act.
Love what they stand for, and the e-mail updates and information they share.
Keep it up! I'm behind you 100%!
I've been involved with environmental organizations for a few decades, and my efforts and money have supported dozens of them. Over time, I've winnowed the orgs I invest in down to a few that have the greatest impact, and the Center for Biological Diversity is at the top of my list for their effectiveness here in the US. They're insightful in their approach, smart about where to target their efforts, they provide superb information about a range of issues, and they're courageous in taking on large entities through lawsuits when necessary. They've accomplished more than most, and we need them to keep making headway in our efforts to promote healthy ecosystems and biodiversity.
I have been a donor to the Center for Biological Diversity for the past ten years. They are very vocal and effective defenders of endangered species, both through lawsuits and campaigns which inform and mobilize the general public.
They cooperate well with other environmental organizations, as evidenced by the recent suing of the U.S. Dept. of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of Commerce, and National Marine Fisheries Service in defense of the Endangered Species Act, together with Earthjustice, Defenders of Wildlife, Sierra Club, National Resources Defense Council, National Parks Conservation Association, Wildearth Guardians, and the Humane Society.
The Center for Biological Diversity is a very capable and hard-working environmental organization, which I have been following and supporting financially for over ten years. In the past, they have successfully campaigned to have several endangered species place on the official endangered species list. Currently they have been very active in opposing President Trump's attacks on the environment.
They are out in front on the important subject of protecting life on earth, we need them, their message needs to be heard.
The Center for Biological Diversity is a brave, scientific advocacy organization for wildlife and their wild habitats. Subscribe to their newsletter, and see the wild world--and its environmental crises, and the solutions that are being applied to them--open up before you. It's vital work, and it's done well by The Center for Biological Diversity.
So, today the 6 year old grand-dau. says, "...Mimi, why do you like plants and animals so much?" as I look on their kitchen table at the flyer that her school's environmental club is going to Wild Basin on nature hike, bring lunch, etc...The sponsor says that she is the youngest in the club and the most engaged and organized. I am giving money for snacks. So, I say, " UUHHHHMMM, well my daddy was a farmer and mama was a gardener" as she wanders to the window filled with cuttings of scallions and some kind of Asian bamboo-looking plant that her dad will soon cook with.
My yard that she sees often is filled with plants from my mother's garden...day lilies that she hybridized, and strange little red cannas. She died in 1992, but still lives among the other plants from seeds that I "liberated" from various neighbors while walking with Jamie Brown, the brown lab, and my husband, who believes that to be a form of stealing. I, however, believe that the seeds parent's would be pleased if they could see them now.
Lately I built a fence(big fence out of cedar posts and goat wire) around bird feeders to keep new neighbor cat from killing the wild parrots originally from Argentina who now are in the yard daily with many occasional birds and the locals.... doves, grackles with one leg, squirrels who bury everything, including grapes.... My husband spends ridiculous dollars on wild bird seed, by the 100 pound sacks. He had to get a dolly so he would not hurt his back bringing the sacks into the house.
We live in a neighborhood that was little post-WWI cottages that are mostly McMansions now, except for us and a few others. We do not have a "manicured lawn" like a dentist office, but the morning glories, red cardinal climber, gourds, pumpkin, and other vines are getting to be exceptional.
So, I am happy to donate to like-minded, or actually, love-minded people. Keep up the fine work.
I support several environmental organizations but none keep me engaged and involved like the Center for Biological Diversity. Whether it be local efforts or global marches, CBD is on top of what needs to be done and more importantly what I need to do for the Earth and her environs. And somehow they keep the work fun!
As a volunteer activist working to protect southern Arizona's last remaining intact desert river ecosystem, the San Pedro watershed, I can say from my experience that CBD is more willing to take on powerful interests than many environmental groups. While some groups are perpetually seeking compromises that often benefit the god of growth at the expense of wild areas, CBD understands the importance of protecting the last remaining habitat zones and wildlife corridors. This tends not to be a popular approach for maintaining an environmental organization these days, because there is a much smaller donor base in the more remote areas. Rather than mostly doing "safe" projects that attract big corporate donors and government grants, CBD is more willing to stick their neck out.
A top-tier team of tough, smart, literate, professional, courageous, passionate visionary warriors, working effectively on multiple high-priority environmental fronts.
This is a group that seems to be aware and "on top" of issues and events as they happen, AND THEY GET INVOLVED. They are real people who can even be contacted directly, and they reply back - VERY UNUSUAL for most organizations these days. If you are interested in wildlife, this is an EXCELLENT GROUP.
Global wildlife populations remain under siege and the illegal wildlife trade flourishes. We are losing species and habitat on almost every front. That's why I support Endangered Species International (ESI) and The Center for Biological Diversity (CBD), both doing an incredible job. ESI is saving so many species and habitats on the ground where CBD does not operate like in the rainforest of Congo. CBD is doing a great job by protecting the endangered species act and making sure endangered species are included and can recover!
The Center for Biological Diversity Inc covers a wide range of topics and shows awesome videos.
The Center for Biological Diversity is on it! They keep me informed about critical issues and make it easy for me to take action to change it. Additionally, it's easy to share links with Pinterest, FB and Twitter to get others involved as well. And they're also fun (Endangered Species Condoms, anyone?) and progressive. They do good work and are one of my favorites.
