Review for The Birthday Joy Program, League City, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My wife found this group through Clear Creek Community Church as a "Go Op" volunteer opportunity. Since then, I've helped move furniture and shared a ton of social media posts. This group is small and they're filling a gap in service for kids in foster homes, homeless shelters and at risk. I didn't even realize this was a problem and they're helping with it!

Review for Changing Hearts And Mind Program Inc Champ, Seabrook, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Mentoring, sailing, caring, sharing and get-togethers are a small part of what make Sam's work with C.H.A.M.P. so great. There is nothing they won't do for a local veteran in need. Nothing. Sam shows everyone he knows pure, unbiased care and love.

Review for Easter Seals Greater Houston, Inc., Houston , TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This group of Veteran supporters and incredible humanitarians does such a great job of providing support where it's needed. Veterans especially are fotunate to have access to job training, education support, in-home services, financial education and one especially close to my heart: Service dogs! Keep up the great work. **Tim Stroud is the man!

Review for Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes, Williamsburg, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The work of the Coalition touches the lives of combat wounded veterans & their families all over the US. They are problem solving and giving support more than a lot of the other organizations out there today. Financial assistance, Education support, Holiday meal checks and one of the coolest work-from-home programs in existence! I love this team of Veterans, Patriots and spouses!

The MCSF is made up of a great team of Marine Corps leaders, incredible patriots and supporters of our Marine Corps and Navy Corpsmen children. I believe whole-heartedly in their mission of Honoring Marines By Educating Their Children. My 3 kids will utilize the generous support of this wonderful organization. Semper Fidelis!

Review for Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes, Williamsburg, VA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

I work for The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes and I'm proud to do it! We at the Coalition have made great strides to improve our transparency, increase our efficiency and to do the most we can for our wounded and disabled veterans from OIF/OEF/OND. In 2012 the Coalition welcomed a new leader and since that time our ratings, our efficiency and giving ratios are the best they've been in recent years. We do use direct mail to raise funds and spread awareness for the needs of our wounded veteran families. One example of those fundraising dollars at work is our Heroes Thanking Heroes program which employs 30+ wounded veterans or their spouses to thank our donors while still providing income for their families. Also, we recently mailed over 1,000 Easter gift checks to provide families the means to celebrate a special family meal. For Thanksgiving that number was around 3,000. If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would love to see more corporate sponsorship for the organization which would lessen the need for our direct mail campaign.

Review for Wounded Warriors Family Support, Omaha, NE, USA

Rating: 5 stars

WWFS allowed my family to take a once in a lifetime trip to Yellowstone park in Wyoming. We had the best time, reconnected and enjoyed exploring one of our nations most incredible national parks! Every day was something new and exciting for my family and I to explore and learn. They thought of everything from travel accommodations, spending money and all lodging planning. We are so happy were were chosen and I hope more families get the chance to experience this great service for our wounded.
