The MCSF is made up of a great team of Marine Corps leaders, incredible patriots and supporters of our Marine Corps and Navy Corpsmen children. I believe whole-heartedly in their mission of Honoring Marines By Educating Their Children. My 3 kids will utilize the generous support of this wonderful organization. Semper Fidelis!

Marine Corps Scholarship means the world to me! As a non traditional, "older" college student and daughter of a proud Marine, being awarded the MCSF scholarship has helped me in so many ways! Not only through the much needed and generous funds, but in the support and encouragement from the foundation. I will never forget finding out about the scholarship and contacting MCSF to ask if there was an age limit on the scholarship with my being age 55 at the time. When I heard: “Once the child or a Marine, always the child of a Marine!” that was one of the HAPPIEST moments of my life and my heart bursts with pride to be able to say that I am so proud that I am! Thanks in a large part to this organization, I enter my senior year of nursing school next month and in May of 2016 I will live my dream as I graduate with my RN degree. I could never thank the Marine Crops Scholarship Foundation enough for ALL this scholarship has and does mean to me! Pam Jones

This organization has a truly great purpose but I have done research that shows their admin and fund raising expenses are far higher than they should be, 35%. These expenses should total no more than 10%.

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation provides an outstanding service to the children of our veterans. What a great relief it must be to the families of these recipients to not have to worry about college eduaction costs.

I'm a recipient of this scholarship and must say that the people involved with this nonprofit organization are 100% dedicated to helping the children of marines. In all aspects this scholarship has surpassed my expectations. The members are dearly committed to furthering their reach to help as many people as possible. If your looking to make a substantial difference, emotionally and monetarily, this is the outlet for you to do so. Further more if you want more hands on experience I highly suggest participating in one of their fundraising events, which you can find on their website.

I volunteer to raise money for The Foundation because I believe it's mission of assisting Marines and former Marines who cannot afford to send their qualified children to college is a most worthy cause. The value set of many of these young people is exactly what has made our country great. Educating them provides America with the potential leaders as well as the good citizens necessary to sustain our leadership position in the world. Honoring the service of these parents by helping to educate their children is a win-win for all concerned.

I can't think of a better way to help the legacies of our warriors that give so much for this country. This is a small way to say thanks and to honor those men and women. The government only does so much to help but caring citizens of this country continue to be the vehicle of opportunity for those that need additional resources. Good luck to all that continue their higher education.

Thanks to my father-in-law, Salvatore J. D'Ascenzo, USMC.(Member of the Fighting 6th) His wonderful stories of his company, which volunteered to storm the hills, in the Okinawa invasion -in order to restablish radio contact; all the while the Jap's were sending up flares to spot and riddle the beaches with machine gun fire to kill our men...I have never been more moved and devoted to do whatever I can for the soldiers of the USMC. In that same vein, I made a wonderful friend, Captain Lawrence Borger, USMC. He met my father-in-law Sam and they talked for hours. I have the upmost respect for the men who wear our nation's uniform and fly our colors with pride. These are the real heros of America! Excuse me; but Pelosi,Reid, Rahm, Obama and the kist goes on; never shed any blood for this great land and probably very few tears, (unless it was a photo opportunity) This nation is GREAT and lives on thanks to the men and woman who have made the armed forces their passion. God bless them all!

As a retired Air Force Officer and Vietnam Veteran I've worked with many Marines. I have always been impressed with their militarism, moral character, but most of all their dedication to their family. It was my friendship with a retired USMC Col. that convinced me to join the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. No other organization does so much good for so many who are so deserving. Thank you.

A great and honorable cause. Many don't realize the sacrifice that Marine Corps families make for their country. They deserve all the support they can get.

My wife and I have donated to the MCSF for the past five years because we truly believe in its purpose and functioning. We have been privileged to meet a number of the scholarship recipients and to hear their stories of what the scholarships meant to them.

Great foundation. I was a board member and later ended up using the foundation for my college son. I was terminated in April 2008. And the foundation came to my son/my rescue and provided assistance. I am happy to report that he graduates from the University of Florida in April 2010. My many thanks to the Foundations leadership and Board members. I urge all Veterans of all services to help the Foundation, so that the foundation can help the sons/daughters of Marines and Corpsman. Semper Fi!

I have been contributing MCSF for about 4 yrs. When I retired, being used to having an amount deducted from my pay for United Way, I was looking for an alternative that I believed in and felt strongly about. MCSF has a sub-fund called Heroes Tribute, that provides scholarships to kids of fallen Marines and Corpsman. I now have an amount charged to my credit card monthly, designated for that fund. It was very easy to set up at their web site www.mcsf.com. The MCSF newsletter called "On Point" alerted me to a new golf fund raiser in Wethersfield CT. I've volunteered at that event ever since. The Marine Corp Scholarship Foundation is an outstanding way to thank servicemen and their families for their service in the most meaningful way possible....providing opportunity through education. It is run by extremely focused and passionate individuals who dedicate their days to enabling the dreams of Marine families...in a way that requires the full participation and drive of the recipient.
