In 2005 when I was 1st injured my family and I struggled with bills and food and not knowing where we were going to stay after a honorable discharge but 0% from the Army. My wife and I continued to work various jobs to make ends meet. In 2008 we where fortunate enough to receive help from the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes in which they payed our late payments on rent and utility bills that helped get us through the cold winters in Colorado. They also invited our family to attend a Road to Recovery conference which helped provide workshops and seminars to help get us back on track with sustainability for our future. Myself and my wife where both asked to be a part of a program within the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes organization in the capacity of a call representative where we made thank you calls to our generous donor's that helped with our financial dilemma in 2005. If it was not for the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes I don't know where we would be today. They have helped us sustain work and residency and we are very grateful that they continue to do this for many more veterans and their families. I also want to add how disheartening it is to see how some Veterans or spouses have tried to blemish this great organization after being helped themselves by them. I only pray that they will come to realize when they struggled this organization was there for them.
My husband and I were invited to attend the 2018 Heroes freedom week in NYC. This trip was life changing. Everyone in attendance felt like family, the staff outdid themselves and made sure everything was taken care of. As a couple we learned how to better communicate with each other, we got to spend some free time in NYC to do what we wanted. Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes has also sent us checks for a holiday meal in the past. It meant we could have thanksgiving meal without having to worry about money. We can not thank them enough for all they have done for us.
When I first came in contact with this foundation, I was a disabled mess-vet, a single mother, raising five kids, just trying to live. It was because of this foundation that I was able to get military challenge coins back after losing everything to a house fire. It was thanks to this organization that showed my new husband the beginning stages of how important being my caregiver was. It was through this foundation that I found out about Warrior to soulmate. This foundation has continuously blessed me financially when I had no idea how I was going to be able to be there for my family. I thank God for this foundation, the donors, and for the staff who continue to make this foundation thrive.
The Coalition To Salute America’s Heroes has done so much for my family. They gave my wife and I new tools to better understand and communicate with each other.
This was the 1st time for both my wife and I to New York, New City and Times Square. It was one of the best trips we've had in a longtime together and with an AWESOME Group of People and Heroes. Not only was I able to face a few of my fears, I had a lot of assistance there to help me along to get through them too. To be able to see my wife smile like she did, was AWESOME. The last thing, just meeting NEW friends was the TOP of the cake. That in-itself was more for me alone. Thank You Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes.
Thank you for this awesome experience. It helped my wife and I learn how to communicate with each other better than we have before.
Amazing Organization!! Friendly and helpful staff! The Coalition has also helped our family in so many ways, And we will be forever thankful.
The Coalition to Salute Americas heroes has been an invaluable organization for my family and I. They have stepped in when we had no one to support or help us. They go above and beyond what a nonprofit would usually do. The staff and donors are amazing human beings with a heart that bleeds red/white/blue. God bless you all and keep up the great work.
My husband and I can't not say enough about The Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes. A few years ago we were struggling financially and didn't know how we were going to give our 3 daughters a Christmas. After applying I received a phone call. I didn't feel judged. It was very easy to open up and talk. If it weren't for tur Coalition we wouldn't have been able to give our daughters the Christmas they deserve.
The Coalition is one of the most amazing organizations. We just done a Trip to New York which in turn brought me and my husband together closer. Also taught us how to communicate better. We thank you and you will never know what you have done for our family when we needed it the most..
Our story began in December 2017 when I had an unexpected brain surgery and was diagnosed with a rare. Autoimmune disease. I being the caregiver and worked full time as a nurse was unable to take care of my husband Army vet with PTSD or help provide for my family. The Coalition stepped in and paid almost $3000 worth of bills for us. It was such a relief. Then we were chosen for the Hero’s Freedom weekend in New York. Wow what an amazing organization they thought of every small detail to help our veterans navigate through the city with their disabilities. They gave us tools with the PAIRS program for our marriage to come home with. I can’t say enough about this wonderful organization. Thanks from the very bottom of our hearts, The Coles
My name is Fabian, my wife found the CSAH through Facebook. At first I didn't know what to expect, then we got word that we were accepted for the retreat to NYC. I was nervous about going because I don't really get out much. But, boy was it amazing!!!! The staff and other veterans and caregivers were great to be around. There was so much to do, and the city was incredible. If there were anyone I can take away from this trip, it is that there are others that care, and are willing to help bring a veteran and their family away from darkness. And these are the people. Thank you to everyone!!!
My wife and I were invited to Hero Freedom Weekend 2018. I have to say that this retreat was more than my wife or I ever expected. We were greated by friendly smiling faces. Made to feel right at home. The activities were absolutely amazing. The memories we made will be charished forever. My wife and I can not thank the coalition enough!
I asked for financial help through this organization and they helped with no issues. They caught me up to all of our bills and set us up to be able to stay financially stable. Unfortunately the counselor that was assisting me with my bills let the organizations bank account open for Wells Fargo to charge. I was contacted by Wells Fargo and they told me that the Coalition had left the account opened and they took back the charges so now I am 3 months behind and it shows up on my credit. The coalition was contacted and they said that they will not help because it was Wells Fargos fault not theirs yet the Coalition were the ones that left their bank account opened to get charged. Also this is causing me to possibly wait another year to purchase the house that my family and I were looking at. If anyone asks the Coalition for financial help make sure you work with someone that knows what they are doing. Also according to resources this is not the first time that they left their accounts opened for banks to continue to charge them.
When I first entered the Veteran community, I was a colleague of a "Famous" Veteran. At that time, I had no clue how many organizations were out there supporting our First Responders, Military, and Veteran Communities. There are over 50,000 nonprofits "claiming" to help. Yet, in the last five years I have witnessed less than 100. Most have a good idea or focus, yet lose sight of the mission.
By far, CSAH has never said "no". They have helped every person I have sent their way either directly or they have found the organization that can help that individual or family.
They continue to go above and beyond for our Veterans and their families.
I am now a sponsor and wish I could give more.
I am now the wife of a combat survivor and rely on the CSAH in many ways.
Blessings to our Combat Survivors and their families.
CSAH is by far the best Veteran based organization out there today. I have been able to refer over two dozen Veterans and their families for assistance, not limited to yet to include: housing assistance, marital issues, PTSD, and much more. I personally had one of their volunteers speak with me during my recovery (which was over 3 years). After my release from the hospital, a long relationship with CSAH started. I now enjoy being a part of client base.
The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is an amazing organization, that has helped my family immensely. They not only provide emergency assistance, but they also provide an opportunity for the Wounded Veteran, or their caregiver/spouse, to work from home and earn a living. Providing emergency assistance is so vital to our families, but providing an opportunity to establish a new career, can truly change someone's life. The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes has been an amazing blessing in our lives, and we will be eternally grateful!!
This was an absolute wonderful experience for myself and my husband. It helped us to bond so much more as a couple and it helped my husband (veteran) to deal with a lot of anxieties from PTSD and being around an entire group of people who knew the struggles we have been facing for years. Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity.
The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is a wonderful organization who helps wounded veterans and their families in time of need. They come together and welcome people into their family.
Coalition to support Americas heroes was extremely helpful to my family and I. While hospitalized , they took care of myimmediate financial burden and helped my family and I through a tough time. They were professional and courteous. I highly reccomend this organization!

I have witnessed firsthand the inner workings of the organization; their governance and full disclosure, their judicious effort to keep spending to a minimum and to be good stewards of hard earned donations, and most importantly, their altruistic heart to serve America’s disabled veterans. You can feel proud to partner with this organization!
