Mission: Youth code jam provides unique, innovative, impactful and family-focused out of school time, hands-on computing programs for a wide range of neurotypical and neurodiverse students as well as providing teacher professional development designed to bring computer science to every school and every classroom.
Programs: The organization has helped k-12 students get excited about computer science, build their confidence in their skills and imagine themselves in the technology-driven jobs of the future. Youth code jam has also enriched the technology ecosystem by training teachers in computer programming languages, preparing them to take the cs certification test and to integrate computer science into their classrooms. They have established various summer camps, community-wide events, afterschool clubs and ongoing professional development to inspire students, parents and teachers and to connect the dots between playing online to creating online to real world job skills.
