This organization has a true passion for defeating this disease once and for all. I'm so proud of Dr. Kimmell and her team for all of their hard work, research, and devotion! It's so great to finally have a team of doc's and experts wanting to learn and teach the prevention of a disease instead of just treating the symptoms!
AARO is an organization that has a deep rooted knowledge in the quest of the prevention of Alzheimer's Disease. The founder experienced first hand what it is to have someone you love deeply go though the throws of this disease. It is her desire to create an awareness, as to the depth of suffering that Alzheimer's inflicts on growing numbers. This is a very noble endeavor, please support her.
My life has been change for the better after learning about Doc Kimmell and AARO and the focus on nutrition, stress, toxins and our Standard American Diet (SAD). Pay attention to what you put in your body...
Prevention is the direction we all need to be headed, and that is what these people preach! Why the medical community is NOT pushing prevention has to do with their focus on drugs. Our bodies have an in-born ability to heal and survive. We need to support our natural healing by giving our bodies what is needed to repair daily. The removal of almost all Omega 3 fatty acids from our diet may be the number one reason so many peoples brains are failing.
Hello, I am a volunteer for finding preventative measures for Alzheimer's disease. I have a friend whose wife was affected by it in her 40's. It was very difficult for them, especially their school aged children. Their daughter was saddened because her Mother couldn't see her graduate, let alone remember her name.
I believe this organization can have a positive impact with the research done in the prevention of it which in turn would be the cure.
I started doing research on Alzheimer's disease after my grandfather was diagnosed with the disease. The saddest thing I have had to watch was his deterioration. AARO is the only Alzheimer's non-profit that is looking for ways to prevent the disease and not just find a pill to reduce the symptoms. After my experience I started volunteering with AARO in support of their mission of preventing this devastating disease.
I have had a lot of health problems and one of my parents died of Alzheimer's disease. So when I got to work with this organization and learned about how natural products, like vitamins and coconut oil, and other natural stuff can help with our memory I paid attention. They showed me that some studies with natural substances are being done and more doctors are taking note. I got busy and started to change the way I eat and started some supplements and walking more, and I can tell its making a difference. HOW? Well, I used to spend a lot of time in the 'here-after.' I would walk into a room, and have to think: "What am I HERE AFTER?" NOT SO MUCH ANYMORE! (But it does take awhile to get back on track.)
Hey, or should I say "hay"? I am the mascot and the one who wants to get the word out to you about this organization. Everyone knows that when it comes straight "From The Horses Mouth" it is always gonna be the TRUTH. So, I got sent to help get the word out! Yes. there are things we all can be doing to lower the risk of Alzheimer's in our lifetime. Your job is to work on being "Heathy as a Horse!" Support us so we can publish a newsletter to tell you HOW.
Hi, I am a volunteer for this organization and they are small, but their message is mity-big. It is all about the food we eat, and the lifestyle we are living and we can do things about it. Support these folks and we will find a way out of the Alzheimer's problem and I believe as they do, it probably will come from NATURE!
This group of people are working really hard to focus on a new direction to solving the Alzheimer's problem. The direction for the future is not in finding a drug to stop this disease, but to look at what has changed in our world that is causing younger and younger people to develop this terrible disease.
This nonprofit cares deeply about helping people avoid this dreaded disease. If people take action we may find that their is a natural solution to this problem, and this nonprofit is looking for the answer, so lets all get on board.
I helped found this organization after becoming convinced of a natural solution, and yet, none of the major medical research is focused in this area. So, I believe we can Stop the Alzheimer's epidemic. But it will be 'We The People' who must take on the task. This was following my father's death from this, the most horrible disease we as a society has had to face in decades!
As soon as I learned about AARO I was interested in donating funds and following it's growth and impact on educating the public about how to help prevent Alzheimer disease.
The concept of starting the prevention early by changing one's diet and never omitting Omega 3 from it, among other healthy lifestyle choices seems like a no-brainier to me and simple to achieve.
Thank you, AARO, for championing early prevention for this dread disease!
