Mission: We are a group of parents, teachers, alumni and community members who believe that the performing arts are an essential part of public education.
Programs: Form 990-ez, part iii, line 28 - statement of program service accomplishments wgpab has been instrumental in growing the performing arts program at willow glenmiddle and high school. Wgpab help support the launch of the high school's marching band program. In addition to the marching band, additional support was provided to the continued growth of the middle and high school choir program, high school drama and middle school band program. Wgpab offered and awarded scholarships to selected performing arts high school seniors. Wgpab program highlights included, purchase of band equipment and needed repairs. Providing sheet music to enhance both choir and bands' sheet music collection. Additional funding was provided for ongoing classroom activities to band, choir and drama classes. Wgpab also provided funding for band uniforms/required attire for competitions/concerts. Wgpab supported theater arts for both middle school and high school by producing four productions during the school year; which included costume and props acquisitions and enhancement. Wgpab funding performing arts workshops/memberships for further enrichment of the performing arts teachers and respective programs. Support was also provided to the performing arts programs for school field trips, writing and music workshops and performing arts competitions.
