Westwood Village Rotary Club Foundation

Programs: Community service:grants were made to local not-for-profit organizations including als association, chicago school of professional psychology, los angeles musical salon, meals on wheels, police and community together, salvation army's westwood homeless transitional village, veterans administration programs and westside family ymca (primarily to underwrite a physical education program for disadvantaged elementary school students) and the ymcas parkinson's plus program (to which substantial donor-designated funding was transferred).

youth service:the foundation supported local high school student achievement contests with scholarship awards, the boy scouts of america, california community foundation, emerson charter school's debate program, girl scout troop 5655. Pediatric aids coalition/foundation, rotary district 5280 humanitarian project, rotary youth leadership academy, the salvation army homeless transitional village program, and the activities of the rotary sponsored ucla rotaract club.

rotary international foundation:this is an international service organization whose stated human rights purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a secular organization open to all people regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, or political preference. Grants were made in support of worldwide polio eradication through the rotary international foundation and to the rotary international global grant for a school in india.
