Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts Centers
Mission: The washington center for the performing arts is the principal performing arts resource for the south puget sound region.
Programs: The washington center for the performing arts presents its own series of professional performing arts events. A sampling of this past season includes seattle rock orchestra, hal holbrook, travis tritt, portland cello project, the national broadway tour of "saturday night fever", arlo guthrie and the kingston trio, as well as a silent movie series. Our smaller black box hosted a jazz series and a comedy series.
the washington center for the performing arts acts as home for many of the regions performing groups, including the olympia symphony orchestra, masterworks choral ensemble, ballet nortwest, olympia jounior programs, student orchestras of greater olympia, entertainment explosion, and many others. The center also manages the performing arts theater of south puget sound community college.
