I just found my way back to acting as an adult at 15 years, and couldn’t be more grateful to have found the welcoming, supportive, and overall stellar Star Theatre right in my own backyard. I just finished performing in their most recent musical, Something Rotten, and had the most wonderful time thanks to the giant hearts, devoted work ethic, and creative spark of everyone on the staff, in the volunteer community, and the audiences The Star draws in. This is an absolute local gem!!!

The Thrasher Opera House is an absolute treasure and a true favorite for our family. My husband and I love attending concerts there—it feels like an intimate, personal performance thanks to the cozy and charming space. The talent of the artists never ceases to amaze us, and every concert leaves me adding another name to my "favorites" list.<br><br>Our kids also adore participating in the Missoula Children's Theatre program, which takes place twice a year. This incredible, free opportunity allows kids to dive into the world of drama and theater. By the end of the week, watching them perform songs, lines, and full acts they've learned in such a short time always moves me to tears. The teachers are so supportive and wonderful with the children, making the whole experience unforgettable.<br><br>We are so grateful for the Thrasher Opera House and all it brings to our community!

The USA International Harp Competition exists to inspire, promote, and sustain artistic excellence while fostering a broader appreciation of the harp and its repertoire.<br><br>They bring people together through the universal language of music, enhance international and community relationships by producing our harp competition, composition contest, concert series, and educational programs.<br><br>They go above and beyond to inspire artistic excellence, encourage personal growth, launch careers and create community between musicians and their audiences.

This is the place to be! Peter DiMuro has catapulted the Dance Complex into the dance stratosphere! Everyone can find a home here and be welcomed to dance, to enjoy to be a part of this vibrant dancing community. I taught children’s classes there for years and most recently shared my love of teaching children through the not for profit Dance In The Schools in a brand new event, Fall Into Dance, I was among a myriad of amazing Boston based dance programs such as Boston Ballet, Global Arts Live, Celebrity Series of Boston, Boston Dance Alliance, The Dance Complex, The Center for Arts at the Armory, Rasik, and more. I had the chance to meet and mingle with audiences, presenters, performers, and movers alike! It was all together a lively and engaging event. It was wonderful to hear about all the dance-based opportunities coming to the city this fall and beyond.

New Village Arts Theatre brings contemporary performing arts to Carlsbad and the north county. It is an excellent venue for those who love theatre at its best!

Ladies in Film & Television is a remarkable nonprofit organization dedicated to recognizing and supporting independent artists in Texas's film and television industry. Since its inception, the organization has been a beacon of encouragement, shining a spotlight on the creative talents that often go unnoticed in the mainstream.<br><br>In 2023, the organization celebrated its 1st annual award show, a glamorous event filled with anticipation and excitement. It was during this prestigious ceremony that I had the honor of winning the award for Best Short Film"HIM". This accolade was more than just a recognition of my hard work; it was a validation of my artistic vision and a stepping stone in my career. The award not only boosted my confidence but also connected me with a community of like-minded individuals passionate about storytelling.<br><br>Shortly after receiving this esteemed award, I was thrilled to become a male member of Ladies in Film & Television. This inclusion marked a significant milestone for me, as I joined a diverse and vibrant group committed to fostering creativity and innovation in the industry. Being part of this organization allowed me to contribute to its mission and collaborate with talented women who were breaking boundaries and setting new standards in film and television.<br><br>As the year progressed, the anticipation for the next award show grew. In 2024, during the 2nd annual ceremony, I had the immense honor of being a presenter. Standing on that stage, addressing an audience of passionate and dedicated artists, was an unforgettable experience. It was a moment of profound gratitude and a testament to the inclusive and supportive nature of Ladies in Film & Television.<br><br>The experience as a presenter deepened my appreciation for the organization and its impact. It was inspiring to see the diverse array of talent being celebrated and to witness firsthand the organization's commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all artists. This event reinforced my desire to continue working with Ladies in Film & Television on future projects.<br><br>Looking ahead, I am eager to embark on more collaborative ventures with the incredible members of this organization. Together, we can create impactful and meaningful work that continues to elevate the independent film and television scene in Texas. It is an honor to be part of such a dedicated and inspiring community, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.

TCAN is an absolute gem in the MetroWest Community! Featuring shows from touring artists from across the country, community events, kids shows and they've recent got movies too! This is an incredibly important arts organization that continues to give back to the community and needs to be supported!

I participated in a workshop in the Outside/In project at Stella Adler studio this summer, and was absolutely blown away by the competence, community and will to create. I am an actor myself, and seeing and engaging with other people form all walks in life, was so special to me. Stella Adler Studios mantra is; "Growth as an actor and as a human being are synonymous", and I can't think of anything more beautiful and more describing of the work they do. Suzy, who is leading the project, was so friendly and you could really just feel how everyone felt like they could share and play, including myself. Something very special happens when people get to play around with theater, no matter who they are, where they're from and what their story is, and that's what happens at Stella Adler Studio.

People do not realize how much the Grand does, with so little resources. We rely 100% on volunteer actors to put on 4 major productions a year, with tons of small events sprinkled throughout the year. Some home grown talent from around the area, some traveling the country. We have no endowment to cover operational expenses, and rely 100% on revenue brought into the theater to pay the bills. Unlike our competitors who all have mega endowments to fund their operations. This doesn't stop us from putting on great content all throughout the year. People need to know this isn't easy, though. It takes dedication from volunteers to keep things going, since we can't afford to pay for the help in most cases. Even the small things like being an usher can help. Spread the word about this fantastic venue, and how much it does. Maybe even consider donating to one of our many large fundraisers to spruce up the place! New Stage lighting, energy upgrades, and a new HVAC are just a few of the large scale projects we're working towards.

It was Delta Day at The Theater (Which was Extra Nice) and Not Only was The Play's Dialogue Captivating & I Knew The Ultimate Ending Would Be Suicide.. When The Shot Came from Behind The Door I Screamed.... <br>I Met & Took a Pic With The 2 Women from The Play.. How Very Invitingly Charming was Their Personality... They Also Had a Niceeeee Spread of Food & Beverages. It Truly was a Great Play & All Around Wonderful Sunday at The Theater

Southern enterprise is against anyone that is LGBTQ. The director has very nasty views on homosexuals. They teach ballet to children and adults but the distain he has for gay people is outrageous. Just today in a meeting he said homosexuals are after our children and as a lesbian I was floored. He went on to say they don't tolerate transgender people and if you are a woman you should present as a woman and so on. He has told the children if you are a girl don't let anyone tell you different and vise versa. He also said gay people will not be let in the kingdom of God and they can do and say whatever they want because it's their business and know one can tell them different I don't know if this is legal but it definitely makes me uncomfortable especially since this isn't the first time. When I first heard him say horrible things about gay people I spoke to his wife she said she would speak to him. She did and apologized and welcomed me and my child in the class. I made it clear that I didn't want my child and I to be singled out she assured me that wouldn't happen. Then it did I feel targeted now.

I was hired as an intern at Grand Vision Foundation, and have been having a wonderful time getting to know the staff, board, and people we serve, as well as getting to know the organization itself. This is my first time working an office job, and I love it! I’m so lucky to work with such kind, patient and friendly people, contributing to a cause that aligns with my own personal values and passions. I’ll admit that when my school made it mandatory to find an internship without any assistance, I wasn’t too pleased, but I never would have found Grand Vision otherwise and so now I’m really grateful for it. I’ve already heard wonderful things from people who’ve attended events GVF has hosted and who participate(d) in the various programs they offer and I’m very proud to be a part of it all. The best way I can sum it up sounds very simple but it is true: Good people make good things. And the good people at Grand Vision are certainly no exception.

Through its foundation, the organization hosts annual summer camps for children, ages 7-10 and 11-14, who have lost a parent to death. While death is always a tragedy, often these are situations related to violence if lower socio economic parts of Chicago. The camp, Hearts to Art, includes elements of grief counseling, arts, music and teamwork, these children would not be exposed to otherwise. In my now 12 years as a donor, I have seen children lives changed, friendships developed, passions for education and a career be ignited and most of all, a support infrastructure to help children and their families move forward after catastrophic loss. The success is best measured by how many students come back until they age out and then want to stay involved as junior camp counselors. To say this program changes lives, including mine, would be an understatement.

Beautiful auditorium but the sound system for the stage speakers is terrible.very low volume. This needs to be addressed.

We have been series ticket holders for many years. Our parents started this with Peter Nero. After their passing we as their children continued on. We increased our purchases by two more tickets. Now you are not holding performances and refusing to give us a refund. You are damestorying a beautiful part of Philadelphia History.

I see the work they are doing and how far they have come so quickly to make an impact in their community

I had stumbled upon Making Music Matter for Kids when looking for a non-profit in the area to help out. After my first interaction with Lance and Robin, I was blown away by all the hard work and dedication they put into giving these kids the opportunity to let their creativity shine and give them the space to do so. They truly love helping their community and the kids that come in. Anyone looking for music lessons for their children should absolutely stop by and check them out because they do amazing work.

Almost 14 years ago I was invited to help get a set ready for a production at Little Theatre. It was my first time ever being around a theater. I felt welcomed right away and over the years have gotten involved in many varied activities that don’t require acting in front of a paying audience. (I’m quite happy to read for an actor who can’t make a particular rehearsal.) I enjoy the creative process of brainstorming and collaborating with other volunteers to bring a play to life. New volunteers are invited to dip a toe in with small commitments of time or jump in with both feet.

Southeast Community Cultural Center, Inc. d.b.a. ArtsXchange, is the first place I’ve ever operated a community garden out of and the experience has been absolutely empowering. I along with several other families and community members are able to grow our own food and learn about different homesteading practices that provide us empowering knowledge about self-sufficiency.<br><br>I also run my yoga studio out of this space and everyone who comes there consistently comments on the warm, calming, and inviting energy of the space and the ArtsXhange.

The most delightful surprise that I experienced in my relocation to Marin County in the Bay Area was my entertainment experience at the Throckmorton Theatre followed by my volunteering that lasted throughout the 7 years until my move to another state. <br>The "talent" was uniquely diverse, colorful, energetic, enlightening, musical, hilarious, artful, affordable, and supportive to the community. It was all enhanced by the intimacy of this historical setting and with so much highly accomplished entertainment reserved for larger venues and stadiums, I felt it was a privilege to feel a part of the "Throck" performances in a way I had never experienced. It was not unusual for the performers and celebrities to acknowledge the unique pleasure of connection with the audiences there as well as the owner Lucy Mercer and staff. I look forward to attending live theatre again in the future in other towns but will always feel grateful and nostalgic about that jewel of Mill Valley. <br>Arlene Handzel<br>Volunteer<br>

The BOH completed its second renovation during the pandemic from 2021-22. We upgrade our air filtration system, installed new seating, new rigging, and a stunning painted curtain which is a replica of the original installed in 1899. It is a beautiful 650 seat theater that is the heart of Barre City, VT. The theater runs two performance series annually, The Celebration Series and BOH Presents. Performances range for R&B, folk, Irish music, VT Symphony Orchestra, and dance. Our stage has been graced by Jackson Brown, Mavis Staples, Richie Havens, Bella Fleck, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Pat Matheny, John Haitt and so many more!<br><br>We have a mission to serve our community. In the summer we run theater camps for children, and host dance and music recitals for local teachers. We are a rental facility taken of advantage of by corporations for meetings, state conferences, and producers such as the Vermont Burlesque Show.

We can offer another option for inner kids at Brenshirer Technical Institute. Is a traded school offering, authorized construction (10) hour OSHA class, authorized construction (30) hour OSHA course, training in HAZWOPER 40 (hazardous waste and emergency response, and training in CPR & First Aid with AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Certified by NCCER, and designed to teach individuals the basics general construction trade. As well as to train qualified individuals interested in becoming an Instructor to teach the NCCER curricula. And our program offers so much more, such as drug treatment, counseling for case management, possibly job placement after successfully completing construction, and or industry training. Very disappointed that DMPA will not give refunds for the Home Free performance after the National Weather Service and state, county and local authorities highly recommended no travel due to the weather. DMPA is more concerned about trampling on people's rights by refusing admission to those who do not have a vaccine card, require a mask, and will not allow people to protect themselves - a right guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. They then censor their "customers" by deleting their posts when asked about refunds. Terrible experience and I will not return.<br>
