Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: Supports caregivers of persons with disabilities through trainings and resource referrals and provides community inclusion social and recreational events for individuals with disabilities.
Programs: Over 318 families with individuals with disabilities are reached through the parent to parent quarterly newsletter that provides information and links to resources and emotional support to caregivers. 19 support meetings (in english and spanish) were held in the fiscal year, attended by 129 people.
through the fiscal year 19 inclusive social events and 8 recreational opportunities were provided to support networking, connecting 676 attendees with disabilities to 436 volunteer community members.
walla walla valley disability network and parent to parent provided 9 trainings that include training on ieps, government resources and services, and transitioning to employment attended by 93 people. A pre and post survey is routinely conducted with an over 95% rating as having improved a caregiver's knowledge of the content area.
