Mission: Founded by engineers, VME meets the needs of people with disabilities who cannot find commercial products to meet their unique needs. Adaptive equipment and unique devices are created on a customized basis. Volunteers have donated thousands of hours of service since 1982 to design and build unique devices that can be used by people with disabilities who would otherwise need help with daily living tasks. Medical professionals, rehabilitation specialists and therapists also volunteer their expertise to assist with client evaluation and device design. Also, our volunteers collect and refurbish donated computers for loan to people with disabilities.
