Mission: The mission of university academy charter high school is based upon the philosophy that everyone can make a contribution and that individuals working together can make an impacting difference. It is also the mission of the charter school to educate every student to become a lifelong learner.
Programs: University academy charter high school provides a full range of educational services appropriate to grades 9 through 12. The charter school completed the 2016-2017 school year, its twelfth year of operation, on june 30, 2017, during which there was an average enrollment of approximately 424 students. Major initiatives for the 2016-2017 school year included continuing efforts to improve student performance. Improvements were made to the school's technological infrastructure. The school also achieved "adequate yearly progress" via safe harbor on nclb achievement benchmarking for both mathematics and language arts. The school also continued its tutoring program with the cooperation of nj city university. Major improvements to the school during the 2016-2017 school year were again for technology infrastructure so that the school remains ready and fully prepared for the it testing that is required by the state of new jersey.
