Wfi served over 289 people in 2016 through its continuum of workforce development and post-secondary programs. These trainings can be customized through industry partnerships to ensure that training meets employer needs and that students are successful in their careers. This results in wfi's strong track record in job retention. Wfi serves many philadelphians with barriers to employment, including behavioral health issues. Through the nationally-recognized strive program, participants gain valuable 21st century workforce skills that prepare them for industry specific job training internships and job placement. Wfi also provides diploma and degree programs through its licensed accredited college, computer technology institute. The majors are offered in a blended learning model and prepare people for careers in technology, business and allied health. Wfi's staff of advisors provide counseling, referrals, academic advising and support, and employment-related services. Internships are required in all degree programs and staff assist with job placement, tracking graduates for at least two years after graduation to ensure job retention.
