Mission: TWI's mission is to build greater ethical awareness and personal decison making in individuals and organizations through research, eduation and leadership. The TWI vision is to help young people and adults: Judge what is right; Care deeply about what is right, and; Do what is right. The focus of TWI is on encouraging personal responsibility, calling forth and supporting the processes of ethical thought and decision making within each of us as individuals that, collectively, lead to an ethical community.
Programs: We conducted 24 training classes in ethical decision making, ethical communication and parole personnel; we provided educational ethics materials to 6,595 university students, 263 high school students, and 1,599 fire department employees. Held the 23rd annual ethics essay contest for high school students awarding a total of $8,500 in scholarships to 16 students from 11 arizona high schools after receiving over 1,800 essays for evaluation.
