I have known Joey Ogburn for at least 10 years. Joey has an amazing heart to help animals and people too! She has rescued horses and minis and I hear the stories about them all. I am an over the top horse and animal lover and owner. I've watched Joey working with the minis and I see how they all become such loving and sweet little creatures, ready to start their new life, making others happy. We had to sell our horse property and I was down to one, old, rescued horse that also had a bad life. None of the equine therapy programs wanted him because he was too old. I sure wasn't going to give him to just anybody as I've learned my lesson that you can't trust everybody. So sad, but true. I could tell you stories! But I did know who I could trust! So I asked Joey if Blaze could come and live with her. She said yes! I pay a small fee, and our boy, Blaze (named by our granddaughter, Brooke...and by the way, our horse doesn't have a Blaze ;-) is a happy camper, and even has a buddy named Max that he is always hanging with. Brooke and I get to go and see our sweet boy as Joey is about 45 minutes from our home. Brooke can ride him around (she's 13) ....and Joey is there lovingly teaching and giving encouragement. Joey also lets Brooke ride in the cart with her as she is working with one of the minis. She even lets Brooke hold the reins sometimes! And all I see are two great big smiles...one from Brooke and the other from Joey! I keep telling Joey that I know she's busy so she doesn't have to do all of this for us. But it's the same every time we come....when she's home. Joey can’t change…it’s who she is. God made her that way…thank goodness! Joey's heart is bigger than Arizona and we couldn't love her more! So I know all the work that she puts into making sure her little minis are able to go with her to visit the young, old, veterans, people in hospitals and the list goes on. It makes her so happy! And in turn…makes everyone she meets feel just the same! Joey is a big blessing in our eyes and many others too! (I hope to add some pictures when I figure out my new computer, so hubby has to help me out....soon!)

I'm a child therapist and have been fortunate to be able to partner with Joey and her mini horses from Mini Angel Eyes. My clients are victims of abuse or have history of trauma. The work that mini Angel eyes does has been instrumental in helping these kids heal. Joey and the horses are sensitive to my clients needs and provide a support like no other. They have helped in ways they don't even know.

Joey is simply amazing. Her dedication to her mission is breathe-taking. Working with her has been an honor. Meeting her "babies" and watching our kids work with her and her four-legged helpers is inspiring. Mini angel eyes has made a tremendous difference in the lives of the children at Childhelp Children's center of AZ.

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful this organization is. Joey and her team of minis have been instrumental in helping the children I work with on a daily basis. Helping children feel comfortable under very stressful/painful circumstances is something that is irreplaceable. Thank you Joey for taking time out of every week to visit us at Childhelp.

Joey and her organization Mini Angel Eyes caught my eye via social media with a photo of her minis looking out the window of her mini van driving through busy city streets. This image was so heart warming! Since then, I have come to know Joey and can say how inspiring she is with her dedication to spread love, joy and genuine caring to as many people as she can reach. I am so happy to know her and to know there are rare jewels such as herself who give of themselves in such a meaningful way in a world where most things are topsy turvy these days. She and her minis are a blessing to us all, and a reminder by example to not forget to express caring to others who could benefit by a few moments of our time and warmth.

Joey's work with her minis unlocks their ability to support those in need - whether they be children or adults, suffering from illness, abuse, or trauma. She rescues the minis and gives them a new life and purpose. She shows the horses unconditional compassion and understanding so that they, in turn can do so for others. There are no words adequate to describe what happens when a child is able to tell a mini horse the abuse she has suffered, when telling an adult would be impossible, or the walls that come down when the mini offers a hug to an inmate who, in his own words, has never been hugged before. The work that Joey's Mini Angel Eyes organization does is truly profound.

Mini Angel Eyes has helped at-risk children throughout the Valley for many years, by teaching youth about respect, empathy and unconditional love. The children get to handle the mini-horses, learning about how to properly groom, halter and lead a horse, as well as how gentle interaction will create a loving bond between an animal and human. Everywhere Mini Angel Eyes visits the children are smiling and requesting to have the lovely mini-horses back again!

Mini Angel Eyes is an amazing organization. I called Joey out of the blue from across the country and told her about my niece fighting cancer. Joey made arrangements to go and see my family and those angels cheered them up so very much. They have gone above and beyond and are heroes in my eyes! This organization does so much for so many. They are truly amazing!!! ❤️

Joey and her Mini horses support and empower my clients who are children who have experienced trauma in their life. I have seen a child, who after being abducted by a non-custodial parent and was too afraid to make a phone call to the other parent, actually make that call with confidence and joy. The horses have given my clients confidence, leadership skills, acceptance and love. I can't say enough good things about this organization and the work being done! Amazing....

Such a great organization! Joey is one of the kindest, most understanding, person I have ever volunteered with. Everyone on this staff shares her genuine passion for horses and people. They put in countless hours behind the scenes to care for their adorable mini angle eyes and to coordinate their events/appearances. I was struggling with adjusting to a huge move when I was volunteering; but after putting in a day worth of volunteering, I felt supported and surrounded by love. These people and animals change your perspective, and that is the most powerful medicine of all. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do.

I have known Joey Ogburn for more than 10 years and she never ceases to amaze me with her compassion for animals and people and for creating ways to encourage meaningful connections between horses and humans. Her work with the miniature therapy horses of Mini Angel Eyes has made such a positive impact on our community in so many ways! I have witnessed the loving way that Joey introduces minis to people living in assisted-living homes, children with special needs, at-risk youth, and those of us who just need some love from a precious miniature horse. She has my highest regard.

Joey is one of the best people I know, helping people in an amazing way. Her focus on the well-being of everyone involved combined with her boundless compassion lets Mini Angel Eyes bring love and joy to everyone they meet. Horses, even the littlest ones, have the power to heal and bring light to people in the darkest times. I couldn't be prouder to call Joey a friend and to be involved with Mini Angel Eyes.
