Mission: Foundation has made "quest for the test" awards to support leading-edge research in bioinformatics and human genetics; in the genetic linkages between parents with bipolar disorder and their children; to the american academy of child and adolescent psych. To fund a "quest for the test" young investigator award; a study of resting state functional mri to predict bipolar disorder; a study of sleep, neural circuitry & vulnerability to bipolar disorder in youth. Foundation has co-sponsored five annual pediatric bipolar disorder conferences with massachusetts general hospital/harvard; funded research into metabolite patterns of fibroblasts of bipolar disorder neurons; funded "quest for the test" young investigator award - northwestern univ. (psychology);provided regional underwriting of johns hopkins program (adap) that teaches high school students, parents & teachers to recognize bipolar disorder & depression; rush university to fund research into neuroplasticity & bipolar disorder.
Programs: The foundation is dedicated to fostering awareness, understanding and research for early-onset bipolar disorder. The foundation is on a "quest for the test" to find an empirical test for bipolar disorder so that early detection and intervention become a reality.
